Right call.

He charged towards another player and made contact (with both Olynyk and an official) after the whistle had blown the play dead.  Big opportunity for the Celtics tomorrow as Washington already had a pretty thin bench.

Nice of Woj to suspend him for us  ;D

No, it was deserved - no hit to the face made it less likely but it was a completely out-of-control attack on a player that wasn't confronting him, and swept a ref up in it too. Washington's bench gets a bit thinner, but that also probably means a lot more Bogdanovich.

IMO he got off easy. This should help restore some order in the Wizzard club house, and get the
game flowing again.

bogdanovich had a LOT of trouble defending the pick and roll. i hope the celtics run it everytime down the floor when he plays.

The media said that no suspension for the Celtics-Wizards series would be the right thing to do...

so was this the wrong thing to do for the NBA?  ;D

I'm not surprised Oubre only got 1 game, it's the playoffs, they'll suspend you if you go way overboard but the suspension is always on the light side. I bet if this was the regular season he gets 2 games, one for charging at Olynyk and one for making contact with an official.

I didn't really find that to be suspension worthy. It wasn't a shove the back, and Morris didn't blind side Horford. Two guys went after the ball, and one guy knocked the other to the ground, that is a common foul to me. A hard foul, yes, but not anything outrageous.

Regardless, this was deserved for Oubre.

The NBA would have run the risk that this series got out of control. "The media" wants clicks and articles to write, viewers to tune in. They don't care about players' well-being.

A fair penalty. Though I don't think it'll hurt WAS, as Oubre hasn't contributed much.

Agreed, but their bench is already a weak point and now arguably their best bench player is out.

Honest truth is I don't think it really warranted a game suspension. He got ejected. Maybe a fine at worst. I just hate how soft the league has become. BUT I can see why NBA suspended him a game. I think they were afraid of other down stream effects if he wasn't.

The honest truth is this probably hurts the C's more as Oubre has been one of the worst players on the court for Washington. He's like a -50 in this series.

what exactly would he have to do that you think will justify a suspension?
