Horrible

He is also missing 3s left and right...especially when open

If Celts draft Fultz.. im leaning towards keeping Rozier and trading Smart.

Trade him to a western conference team  though

Smart has been downright atrocious for most of the last two games. However, his three point shooting has actually significantly raised in the playoffs from 28% in the season to 35% in the playoffs.

Now that's still not great, but it's far from how you're characterizing it. For reference, IT is shooting just 27% from 3 in the playoffs so far.
Try last 3 games, he was so bad in the first game, he took himself out!

Smart had about as bad of a game as he's ever had last night. He'll be better next game.
Bingo.  The whole team was flat, and Smart was terrible.  I don't expect any carryover of this into game 4.

Smart is not a point guard.

when we lose it's always smart that gets pointed out, yet there's at least a 9-10 man rotation here.

This was the first time I've seen Smart come apart because of the physical play of a game. Normally he embraces it.

Don't forget Marcus is still a young player, the third game of this playoff between the C's and the Wizards was a physical extreme. The Wizards set a physical tone that the refs weren't quite ready for.

Yep...he looked stressed out.

It is definitely strange that a guard whose only redeeming quality is that he's "built for the playoffs" is playing so badly in the playoffs.

i am not sure whom you are referring to since i have never seen people on this blog say that about any current celtic player.

But that's not the norm for IT. All good shooters have occasional slumps, whereas the opposite is true of Smart—he's normally a wretched shooter who has the occasional good streak.

He's in a wierd funk right now. Usually it's just his shooting that has been off. But in this series, he play overall has been pretty sub par imo. Not sure what it is about playing Washington that gets him so screwed up mentally. He needs to be better. When Smart is really engaged and making plays, it usually leads to C's playing good basketball. They will need him to step up tomorrow and make (good) plays.

And when we win , everybody goes crazy over one Marcus Smart play where he gets a rebound and makes him seem like he scored 30 points and got 10 rebounds and 8 assists

when in reality he was 1-7 , and all those 7 shots were threes.

Smart can be a horror show at times.

Does he just lack the BBIQ or what is going on?

I just don't see how he can be such a defensive savant and usually be good distributing the ball and then come out like he did in game 3.

Smart has a lot of growing up to do.  Hopefully he can come back strong in game 4.

He did not, from what I read, take himself out from the game due to his shooting.  Lets keep the facts straight so as to remove ambiguity.

Smart is not a point guard.
Which is okay since CBS' offense doesn't work that way.

people, we are in the semi-finals of the conference playoffs. You do not get to play cupcakes or cream puffs here. Of course there will be some growing pains for out players.
