I've been telling people all along, this kid can play and has massive heart.   He's going to be special.  He's been a major contri0buter off the bench for through this entire playoff run.

How's that Portis comparison now people? :P

Love Terry. Dude has unreal length and athleticism, with good amount of skill too.

This place was so crazy negative about that pick too.

saw him play for the Red Claws several times... court vision and anticipation on D were incredible. Crafty in the lane.

Overwhelming athleticism, and a real gamer.

He just needed to get adjusted to the NBA game.

Not surprised - I swear every time that kid gets on the court, Boston makes a run.

I don't know what the hell this team is going to do next year if they get the #1 pick (probably wont, but they have every chance).  If you get pick #1 you really need to take the best player available, and that means you really can't pass on Fultz.

With Thomas, Bradley, Fultz, Smart, Rozier, Crowder and Brown...something has got to give, because they aren't going to find minutes for all of those wing players.

At this point I'd hate to see any of those guys traded, but I don't think they really have a choice.  They have a major hole at PF, and they have 7 perimeter players who are all hugely valuable and all very deserving of minutes.

Part of my hopes they drop to #2 or #3 and draft Tatum instead - I feel he has the second highest upside in the draft after Fultz, and with his size / length / athleticism he could easily play the PF spot, allowing Boston to find roles for all 6 of those perimeter guys.

Honestly if I was Ainge and I did get pick #1, I'd seriously consider trading down to #2 (try to get a starting calibre PF, like an Ibaka type, in return) and take Tatum.

Rozier was very frustrating for me all during the regular season but he has really stepped up during the playoffs. My hat is off for me! Great game tonight!

He's really active on D. His arms are always stretched out into passing lanes, moving his feet and skying for rebounds. He really has had an impact.

This playoff run is going to be big for the development for players like Rozier. They are getting a taste of what is needed to play at this level and Rozier is rising to the occasion.

Honestly, I think he's just struggled to get into a rhythm with the sporadic roles / minutes he's been given.

Smart has been given 25-30 MPG every season so he's had plenty of time to get in sync with the system and with his teammates, get into a rhythm, work out where he fits in the team, etc.

Even Brown started to clearly play better once he started getting more consistent minutes and a bigger role.

Rozier has never really had that.  He kinda plays sporadic minutes here and there, sometimes doesn't play at all.  Tough to get in sync under those circumstances.  If he had been playing for a weaker team like Minnesota or the Lakers, I'd be willing to bet he'd be putting up 16 / 4 / 5 by now and looking like a future star.

He has always been a very clutch player, and coming out of college he was actually known first and foremost for his defence, his leadership and toughness/competitiveness - even moreso then his scoring (which was also a standout).

But he was generally considered to be the top defensive player on a team built around defence, and kinda became the go-to guy on offence by default because nobody else on the team could really score.

In fact the only real criticisms he had coming out of college were concerns about his outside jumper (as he didn't shoot a very high percentage from three) and his tendency to sometimes force things a little.  But he's proven himself to be a very capable outside shooter all season long, and his decision making during this playoff run has been great - he's moving the ball well and letting the game come to him, and yet he's still having a huge impact in limited minutes.

The way he's playing now on the big stage is certain to raise some eyebrows for the Celtics and around the league.  I get the feeling Boston will be getting a LOT of calls about him come trade time, and if I were Boston I'd be very hesitant to let him go.

Well, Danny knows what he has because I think he could've traded him at the deadline. I heard that's who the Magic wanted and Danny said no. I could not be happier for Rozier, he's future is bright!!!
