How does that affect the Celtics pick. Worse case scenario the Celtics pick Fourth, The Lakers don't have a pick.

It's possible for it to be Fultz, Jackson, Tatum, and if Ainge doesn't want Ball for some reason which way do we go then.

 Fox
 Issac
 Monk
 Dennis Smith JR
 Markkanen

 Those are other possible options.
Actually if we signed Hayward say and lost Olynyk, an upgrade over Olynyk wouldn't be the worst thing In the world.

If I didn't want Ball because of the sideshow I would personally take Fox.

We're in a very good spot. Its hard to be disappointed with any of the 5 prospects

I think that if
1. we end up with the 4th pick and
2. the Fakers end up without theirs and
3. Ball slides to 4 (man, all this could happen, but it's against the odds), we're in a GREAT position.

We can then squeeze the Fakers REAL hard for Ball.

What do the Lakers have to do with who we take at #4?

I think the premise here is that if the Lakers fall outside the top 3 that means Philly moved inside the top 3. Meaning Philly will have 2 top 6 picks most likely. I don't see how that means Ball automatically drops to 4 though.

Because they would probably take Ball ahead of us. He is creating scenario where Ball more likely to drop to us. Which is fine by me.

I don't really understand this either. Is their someone the Lakers would take that Philly wouldn't?

I think it would be hilarious if the Lakers are picking with Ball on the board and don't take him.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I think that the idea that the Lakers are locked in on Ball is false.

Yes. The premise is The Lakers want Ball maybe other teams don't. What if Ball is the prospect left for us and we don't want him.

What's that premise based upon?

It is based on the belief that Magic and Buss want to bring showtime back and Ball is the one to lead the way. Nothing more than that.

Agree 100%. For some reason people are making the case that the Balls are already tight with the Lakers. I haven't heard of any news of any meetings. Ball is from LA, but do they really want his business interests or dad involved, even if it is just a small distraction?
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.
