It makes a bit of a difference, but my attitude is that the door is always open, it's just up to you to take it.

I entirely agree with this. That's why they play the games.

There was a recent thread about the 1975/1976 seasons and how the Cs won the title in '76. Their opponent was the Suns who went 42-40 that year but still managed to beat the 59 win Warriors in the playoffs.

If we get that far I like our chances. We're one of the few teams that can actually match up somewhat against Golden State. I'm not saying that the Celtics should be favored - GS is a dream team - but our strengths match up well against them and we'd have a fighting chance.

Now let's just get past Washington in game 2 and keep this ball rolling.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

I don't think it matters when you have the BEST players on your team. Coaches on those teams IMO are overrated. It is marginal teams that the coach is important.

Golden State & Cleveland can play without a coach and there wouldn't be a difference.

The door is always slightly open, but it does not make any difference. Mike Brown, like him or not, has a lot of experience, and the ones shooting are Durant, Curry and Klay as before. The one kicking your balls is still D-Green, as well.

Luke Walton had the Warriors running like a well oiled machine last year while Kerr was out. Look at Luke Walton and his year with the dreg he had to deal with in Laker Land. Its about the players most of the time, and the coach very little. Warriors will be fine.

I will say, the Rockets look amazing and deep and talented. I think they could give the Warriors a run.

They know how to run their stuff at this point, and their talent advantage against pretty much any opponent should mean their opponent has to make adjustments, not them.

Mike Brown's issues in the past have been a lack of adjustments and leaning too heavily on his main guys.

If anything, that may actually be a good thing for this Warriors team as it means they won't have as many "Kumbaya Kerr" lineups like last season.

Just keep two of your four superstars on the floor at all times and let these guys run the system they know so well since they've played together for multiple seasons now.

I think it matters in a close series, or if somebody important gets injured. Not much for lopsided matchups.

While Kerr can't run the practice and game, he can still make the overall game plan to give to the other coaches.

Win by 11 on the road with Curry and Thompson combining for 7 of 29 and just 3 of 15 from three.

I really can't see them losing a series if they stay healthy.

They have 3 superstars and Draymond Green. A brainless monkey could coach that team to a title.

Kerr was out for a good part of their 73 win season. I'm sure they will be fine.

I could coach this Warriors team to the Finals. Almost anyone here on CB probably could as well. They'll probably win it all too.

I hope I'm wrong though. I despise the idea of Durant and Draymond Green finding success.
