Yeah he's playing himself into a high value, but who's bidding, and what's in their pocketbook?

I mean, what contender has cap space, or who else would want him?

If he were a free agent this upcoming offseason...

20 a year easily.

All it takes is one team to make the offer, I'm looking at you Brooklyn!

I think AB would be a lot closer to the max than people would expect, for me he's at a similar value to George Hill.

Due to the lack of free agents who could move this offseason guys like George will probably get 25+ MM a year. If Hill is getting 25+ AB has to be a 20+ MM a year guy.

More than Turner got. However there's less cap space this year so probably $19-20m. Could be more next year.

We should give him and Smart extensions this year (looking at a 4 year 76 million contract for Bradley and a 4 year 50 million contract for Smart). For IT I'd trigger the super max extension for 4 years so we'd be getting the rest of his prime years and keep him happy.

At least as much as Beal. And possible that he will get the max from a desperate team.

Confession - when we re-signed him for 8 mill a year, I thought we overpaid.  I laugh about it now

he'd get the max that he'd be eligible for.  he's an all-NBA defender who's improved his game every year he's been in the league.  he used to be just a spot-up shooter from inside the arc.  now he's a legit shooter out to the 3, now has shown an ability to drive (under control to boot) for a bucket and has improved his playmaking skills where he's not a turnover waiting to happen all the time (just some of the time now).

I was all for trading AB for years but after watching him this year I've come around to thinking he's probably worth keeping -- particularly if we get Fultz in the draft and he can take over for IT after IT's deal is up.  (I know that'll get me crucified for just suggesting it but I'd consider it)

He would not get the max.  He's a very good player.  But the max he could get on the open market is $130 million over 4 seasons.  I could see him getting $80 million or so over four years, but not max dollars.

I think he is the type of player that can get, if not the max, an offer of 25-26 million per from a young team needing an experienced, tough, two-way player. If I were running the Sixers or the Timberwolves this is the player I'd try to sign.

What prevents me from thinking he'd get the max is his injuries throughout his career, not serious ones but repeated.

I'd expect most of the good free agents to stay with their current teams this summer. If that happened, I could see Bradley being one of the best free agents on the market and earning the max.

You don't think a bad team like Philly (who had been rumored to have interest) Sacramento or the Nets would pay him the max? If it was a bad team making the offer, they would have to pay a premium to get him to go there.
