Does signing Hayward give this team the edge in size and athleticism that it so desperately lacks?

I'm just so tired of feeling like they don't have an edge in size or athleticism at any spot in the lineup.

Hayward would be a major help IMO. He can score but equally important he can pass. I've been saying all year they are a bad passing team. Tonight they looked like a college team out there, passing was flat out awful, I expected them to get killed on the glass.

Remember how Serge Ibaka wasnt worth getting rid of Terry Rozier? LOL.

Yeah, Ibaka has helped the Raptors win game 1 against the Bucks. Oh, wait...  ::)

Ibaka had 19 pts and 14 reb.

Let's face it...this is the best this team can do.  They came out strong and the fact that they couldn't capitalize and play 48 minutes hustle basketball has a lot to do with the other team as well.  I give them a lot of credit.

Danny failed to get this team any help.  SOB decided to stand pat.  Unbelievable.

When a team gives up 20 offensive rebounds it makes winning very difficult.

Changes need to be made, and I'm not talking about a 20 year old kid playing in Europe.

That pretty much sums it up.

Gotta give major props to IT.  He shot the ball well and hit big shots all game.  But he still understandably didn't seem like himself at times - mishandling the ball, some bad turnovers.

Unfortunately not much time between now and next game.  If he's able to operate at his best, then we'll win this series in 6.  If he's not able to, then we need our bigs to get their head out of the rears and step up.  It's a shame that they couldn't even show enough battle on the glass to make the rebounding somewhat competitive.  While our poor rebounding is a team issue, our bigs are at the forefront of the problem.

To be honest I'll be OK with Bulls winning the series in 7.  What I cannot stomach is a SWEEP in the next round.

At least we'd get a pattern going for three years until Danny decides to take his job seriously, if it isn't too late already.

He takes his job seriously. That's why we can add a Max FA this offseason and a top 4 pick to boot. If you were the GM we'd have no cap space and have no top pick.

What max FA is going to look at this team and think this group is one player away from making it to the Finals?

Hayward is better off staying in Utah.

Griffin will have better options.
If Paul leaves LA, there are teams better than the Celtics that could engineer max cap space? I doubt Griffin wants to go to an average team.

Wouldn't make much difference as he won't get many touches. He got ate alive by Giannis in their matchup.

Excluding Horford, our bigs had 3 defensive rebounds combined for the entire game.  Horford had 5 defensive rebounds.

I don't know if an internet post can adequately describe how pitiful that is.
