I honestly don't see what makes this a long series. We lost one game without Smart/KO and the other without Bradley.
As long as we don't let them get an awful lot of offensive rebounds, we should dispose of them with relative ease.
I mean they are a .500 team and a terrible road team. I honestly see us protecting home court and winning one in Chicago.
C's in five.
Yeah, there were a TON of caveats about the wins that they got over us:
1) The first game against them was our second game of the season, and for some reason the league thought it'd be pertinent to give us our second game on the second night of a back to back IN Chicago on their season opener. That was a schedule loss if I've ever seen one, let alone being down KO and Smart, and it still took heroics from D-Wade to win it for Chicago.
2) The second game against them we won, but we were without Horford (concussion) and lost Crowder (ankle) very early in the game. That was likely a much larger win at home than the score showed if we were actually at full health.
3) The third game against them in Chicago we SHOULD'VE won if it wasn't for that bogus foul call. But beyond that, it was the second night of a tough back to back that we barely won the night before, along with it being right before the All-Star Break and us being noticeably drained after our prolonged winning streak.
4) The final game was a slaughter from start to finish.
I think this is a 5 game series. They'll probably take one at home with heroics from Butler and/or Wade. All of the games will probably be close, but I don't think there's much to worry about, especially since they lost Gibson, who was a matchup nightmare with us on the boards.
