Series comes down to one key factor - the Bulls don't shoot it well enough.  That will show up over a best of 7 series.  That said if our bench keeps playing the way it has been for the past several weeks this series will be a lot tougher than it needs to be.

I don't expect our bench to play much.  It will be an 8-man rotation most games.

I honestly don't see what makes this a long series. We lost one game without Smart/KO and the other without Bradley.

As long as we don't let them get an awful lot of offensive rebounds, we should dispose of them with relative ease.

I mean they are a .500 team and a terrible road team. I honestly see us protecting home court and winning one in Chicago.

C's in five.

Yeah, there were a TON of caveats about the wins that they got over us:

1) The first game against them was our second game of the season, and for some reason the league thought it'd be pertinent to give us our second game on the second night of a back to back IN Chicago on their season opener. That was a schedule loss if I've ever seen one, let alone being down KO and Smart, and it still took heroics from D-Wade to win it for Chicago.

2) The second game against them we won, but we were without Horford (concussion) and lost Crowder (ankle) very early in the game. That was likely a much larger win at home than the score showed if we were actually at full health.

3) The third game against them in Chicago we SHOULD'VE won if it wasn't for that bogus foul call. But beyond that, it was the second night of a tough back to back that we barely won the night before, along with it being right before the All-Star Break and us being noticeably drained after our prolonged winning streak.

4) The final game was a slaughter from start to finish.

I think this is a 5 game series. They'll probably take one at home with heroics from Butler and/or Wade. All of the games will probably be close, but I don't think there's much to worry about, especially since they lost Gibson, who was a matchup nightmare with us on the boards.

Not just Bulls fans.  Some national pundits are calling this an 8-seed upset of 1-seed.

Bulls might win one game at home but they are trash.
Fully healthy we will crush them.

Pretty much this. Only way they win more than one game is if we lose a starter to injury or we shoot abysmally from 3 for the whole series.

I believe it. Dude is one of the few who can capably guard Lebron. Probably the best if not in the top 3 in doing it too.

Naw, there's a big difference in guarding someone like Lebron versus someone like IT. They have two separate games. I don't think Butler has the foot speed to stay with IT for multiple possessions, who is much quicker than Lebron, let alone the entire game. Plus, he's their main source of offense, and I highly doubt that Hoiberg wants him chasing IT around all game long on defense and tiring himself out.

I'm tired of hearing this utter nonsense about how the bulls have an upperhand over us. First they gotta prove it, Celtics have proved they are serious and for sure in the playoffs they will be even further better in terms of focus and efforts. And Sunday is when they should come to play...So everyone chill. It's the playoffs, obviously all matches will be tough but that's what we are,  one of the many competitive teams all looking to go all the way! Sunday is when we will find out, so until then, Celtics are the better team as proven this year...

Bulls in five
*IT gets double-teamed the entire series, which, Marcus Smart interprets as a 'green light' to chuck-at-will
*Horford will do his usual disappearing act
*Marcus Smart will deliver 3-15 shooting each game (or worse)
*AB will pull up lame in game one and miss the remainder of the series
*Jae Crowder, in between timeouts, argues on twitter with C's fans about Gordon Hayward
*Brad Stevens has a stroke mid-game

Throw this along your gloom and doom post in the Nets thread.

You call it Doom and Gloom, and you have a right to your opinion, but....
All I know is: if Lin is HEALTHY this season, the Celtics don't even sniff the top five of the lottery.
