  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.

Is that even possible? In the trade machine it works with Blake and Reddick.

Not that Horford is bad, he's just older, and if Doc is going to lose Blake anyway at least he can get something Back.
This particular trade is impossible. The trade has to happen in year 2017-18 time frame and if Blake opts out, then both he and Reddick are free agents and so not in the Clippers control and so can't be traded for. I guess a sign and trade would be possible, but as others have stated, trading Horford so soon after signing him when he hasn't asked to be traded would kill the Celtics chances with future free agents signing with the team.
Horford is not going anywhere for a few years. Griffin will not be playing in Boston. We have shot a Heyward and we should be thankful for having him consider us. We need a defensive rebounder more than anything. If you read the article it will be hard to pay Heyward. I say we go after a couple short team deals on a shooter and center.

No thanks.

Al Horford is one of the best Bigs in the game today - not a "Great Player" in any one statistical category BUT a VERY GOOD player in MANY...

Plus, he's a great teammate and seems to be a great locker room presence.

He's never been a great athlete BUT with his vast skillset he'll be VERY effective for us for the next 5-6 years.

Keep him and this core we have and simply add a piece or two to it.
