Hope it is not too serious. We certainly need his versatility to make a good run come playoff time.
Let's Go Celtics!!

The would be a huge blow to our playoff hopes, just like Bradley's injury last year. Speaking of which , Bradley doesn't exactly look healthy right now either.

The door may be open for Jaylen to make his mark in the playoffs though.

He got it already, it was negative. He went back during the end of the game I think. At least that was what I saw in a tweet. I'll find it.

Edit: FFS it was the xray that was negative. WHY US???
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

It shouldn't be too bad, MRI's are used primarily to evaluate soft tissue.  The elbow, unlike the knee is held together mostly by it's bony architecture.  While there are collateral ligaments holding it in place you rarely see a sprained elbow bad enough to sideline a professional athlete.

Rondo and DWade would say otherwise. So would many baseball players.

3 days off before the Cleveland game. After that, I'm fine with giving him some extra rest to make sure everything is good for the playoffs. Maybe that means missing a game or two down the stretch or maybe just ride Jaylen a few extra minutes a night so Crowder doesn't get too fatigued.

But Wednesday is pretty important and I'd like to see him out there.

His high ankle sprain killed him in the playoffs this last year. Hope this isn't overly serious.

I feel like an inner elbow issue on his non-shooting arm is nowhere near the concern that a high ankle sprain is. Hopefully it's nothing at all, but I doubt that it's a serious injury that really affects his play going forward.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Young mr brown should be ready to step in and give Jae a rest.  We can easily start bradley or smart in backcourt with Thomas.  We want NEED everyone healthy for playoffs.

I'm sure he damaged his ulnar nerve.  I did that myself years ago, and everything he described is exactly how that feels.  It's one of those things that when you've done it to yourself, you recognize it when it happens to others.  Essentially it's what happens when you bang your funny bone, but several orders of magnitude worse.

It's something that can feel better in days or months, and heal on its own or require surgery.  I couldn't feel my pinky and ring fingers for about a week, and the tingling was there for months.  It can reduce grip strength, and could affect shooting if it's on his shooting hand.  It's a much worse injury for quarterbacks and pitchers than it is for basketball players, however.  It can also have recurrence with further bumps, and get progressively worse over time with repeated injuries.

I'd expect he'll play through it.  If he sits out, that's a very bad sign in my opinion, since that means he's hurt it pretty good.  If he does play, watch for him shaking his hand in the air -- that's a sign that he's having that tingling/can't feel his fingers closest to his pinky.

This happened to me once as well, was an odd feeling. The outer-half of my ring and pinky fingers were tingly/numb. Maybe it lasted around a few months or so.

Prediction: Jaylen steps in and plays so well that we start referring to Jae "Wally Pipp" Crowder.
