I think maybe another win or two? Not a huge improvement but improvement nonetheless.

These guys are still technically rookies.

Forget Zeller for now.
Yabu and Zizic- I don't think will be an improvement on their first year over Amir and JJ.
in 2-3 year more likely.

Pretty [dang] good.  Especially if you factor in improved play from Brown, Rozier, Smart and Olynyk.

I'd keep Amir though (who is very effective as a 20 minute rotation guy), and dump Young.  We'd be pretty thin up front with just Horford, Olynyk and Zizic.

Yabu could possibly make the big club, but if not then keeping Amir makes sense, or use the Amir/JJ/Zeller cap space to sign a big man (e.g. Griffin).

I would also replace Young with Nader.

Johnson is worth his current salary, I'd try to resign him for 2 years, 8 million.  I think he's had an excellent year and is worth that as a veteran rotation player.  Zizic looks enticing, but hasn't even played summer league ball, never mind in the NBA.  Pretty ballsy to gamble on him in the starting lineup.

Maybe....johnson wouldnt take a 2 year 8 million dollar deal though

Not sure about Yabu but Zizic and Jackson should be able to contribute right off the bat..

Worse for at least 1st month of the season. Maybe by All-star break they get back to even. End of season finish stronger.

Hitching your wagon to a bunch of unproven rookies to make up all your bench pretty much guarantees your starters end up playing like 40 mins a game.

None of those guys will be able to contribute significant minutes immediately. They still have ways to go development  wise. Assuming they start or get serious minutes is ridiculous.

They might make the end of the bench and slowly get worked in. Zizic might get the most minutes. Yabusele seems like a long term project. They need some vets on that roster whether it be resigning Johnson or a cheap FA.

I wouldn't dare pick Josh Jackson over Jayson Tatum. No way

KO would be gone as well. I don't think I can watch him fumble and stumble another year. We can find a soft big anywhere.

That team is probably slightly worse. Rookies take time to produce, counting on three of them for your rotation would hurt you in the short term.

We probably will move on from James Young too.
