Nobody wants to play in Boston, nobody wants to trade with Boston

This makes me happy to have guys like AB, Smart , Brown, Horford etc who are glad to be here

Sources: Pacers asking for 3 of 4 from group of Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, and Jaylen Brown + 2017 Nets pick for Paul George.

Probably not a real "source."

Still, if that's the case, then uh ..

Bradley, Brown, 17 for George?

I'd do it, but if they have very strong indication he wouldn't re-sign, probably not worth it.

It's 3 of 4 from group of Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, and Jaylen Brown . The 17 pick would be in addition to the 3.

Alright then, that's a big fat NO WAY.

Sounds about right if those rumors were accurate.  Bird can just look for a Godfather offer again on Draft Night.

OUCH!
i would have a problem giving that much for 20 year old Michael Jordan

This is why the Celtics can't get a trade done. They way overvalue their picks/players

i don't think he's front office

No it just goes to show how much the Celtics overvalue our players. Bradley is a solid starter probably a 6th man on a championship team, Jae Crowder is a solid starting SF on a playoff team, but not Championship squad, Smart at best has shown he's a solid starter, but not a world beater.
Ainge overvalues his assets and will sit on it until the illusion of the right deal comes around. If he doesn't hit on some of these draft picks he will be on the hot seat, and very soon. I don't understand how he's willing to send 4 first rounders for Justice Winslow, but won't make a big offer for PG.

I mean for lord's sake he didn't make a move for Ibaka because ROZIER was involved. The same inconsistent perennial backup that can guard a paraplegic. It's just a consistent overvaluing of his players that's stopping us from making legit deals.

Thanks, but no thanks.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I just do not want to revist these dumb talks in the summer. I am tired of the Bulls being wishy washy with Butler and if you don't get PG now...you won't get him in the summer

Make the pick in June..esp if it is #1

With one year left on his contract, he will not get one without a commitment. The value goes down this summer, not up....

Seems to me like you may be overvaluing the players on other teams that we're rumored to be interested in
I'm bitter.

Thank Goodness! I am just wanting this stupid deadline to end! I can't imagine giving up everything we have for George while Cousins just went for pennies. Try again in the summer, please. Until then just enjoy the ride.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I don't know what Larry is thinking.

Does he seriously believe he's going to get better offers from any other team except for us?

Suns cannot guarantee him staying, nor can the Nuggets.

Only Lakers can, and even if they can, they'd have to give up a decent chunk of their core to do so. And PG isn't interested in playing with rookies.

Dangerous game. Don't see a top-2 pick being in play for Bird with George having just one year left on his contract. Everyone knows he isn't staying there, so there goes all of their leverage.

I'm saying a CB poster's opinion doesn't go to show anything about the people who actually make the decisions.
