Sources: Sixers pitched a Jahlil Okafor package for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, offered to bring in a third team, but the Pistons rebuffed.

not if they didn't like Okafor.

I don't see how they share any correlation, considering KCP for Okafor is just a terrible deal, and nothing short of a godfather offer is Pistons giving up KCP along with Drummond.

Pistons are just throwing out feelers before the trade deadline.

Do you want Andre Drummond?

Okafor is a ham sandwich at this point. The best deal they got was the Pelicans offering a late first for him. Liberty Ballers seems to think it was top 20 protected. (at least from what I have read)

I've decided, Drummond is the guy I'd like to see at the deadline.

First off, I think we can get him for Bradley, Nets 18, and maybe an expiring.

Next, he's signed for the next 4-5 years so we don't have to worry about him walking in two like PG13.

Finally, just last year he was a 16/14 guy so he is very good, and just 23 so he'd fit with the other young players on the team.

I can definitely buy into your logic here but my question is.... What incentive does Detroit have to trade their asset?

Drummond is an interesting player no doubt. Still, I have seen him getting played off the floor many times. Most noticeably in last year's playoffs. He is a guy that would solve much of our defensive rebounding issues, on the other hand, his critical weakness, FTs, can be attacked and sometimes benching depletes his confidence. He is still young, with room to grow, but for him to be at a true all-star level, he would need to up his defensive intelligence and discipline. A physical specimen like him must improve on that end. Center is the most important defensive position, so no excuses there.
