Nets are sending Bogdanovic and Chris McCullough to the Wizards for Andrew Nicholson and a 2017 first-round pick, sources tell @TheVertical.

Good, this should make them worse next year (depending on the return).  He played the 2nd most MPG for them this year

It's too bad it has to help shore up the Wizards' bench, though

Wow, they got a first for him in this draft.

I guess next year Nets pick is looking good as well and no chance of a 20 game winning streak this year? Lopez is next if they can find someone who wants him.

I don't get this trade for the Nets at all.  Bojan is a pretty solid player and McCullough is probably about the same level of prospect as Nicholson.  The pick is obviously going to be in the 20's, maybe even late 20's, so I can't believe they get someone better than Bojan in that spot.

Bojan is expiring. probably wouldn't have stayed with the Nets.

I'm really surprised the Wizards were able to unload Nicholson for a 1st and get value in return.

Really surprised.  He's got 3 years and $20 million left on his deal after this year, and is a pile of hot garbage.

But definitely good for the Nets pick.  It greatly increases the ability of Washington to keep Porter without becoming major taxpayers.

Wizards getting stronger, gonna be a tough battle between wiz/celtics/toronto for 2nd seed. Even Atlanta can still make some noise tomorrow with plenty of picks.

Nets getting worse but I think they are doing the right thing, getting picks.

Magic pulled the trigger to early? Looks like Wiz were also interested in Lou Williams? Wiz pick gonna be a better pick than the Houston pick, funny!

Maybe their plan is to get another one for Lopez and couple the two for a better position. Or maybe they want to make sure we get top draft odds for next year's pick.

Bogdanovic is 27 and he'll be in his 30's before the Nets ever have a chance at competing even for a playoff spot. It makes sense to me that they'd deal him and take a chance on finding a gem in a deep draft. Any move by the Nets to improve their chances in the next two seasons are pointless. They have to gear everything toward 3 years down the road.

It gives the Nets another big who cannot play pick and roll defense.

I like Bogdon. The Wizards got a really solid guy here.
