So he is 99% likely to stay with Atlanta the rest of the season. Big shift in motive considering almost a month ago they were actively shopping him after dealing Korver as well.

Didn't expect him to come here to Boston at the deadline anyways (February 23).

But better hope he could be available this summer, because the FA class is looking thinner..

Gordon Hayward? Doubt it. Likely stays with Utah.

Blake Griffin? Doubt it. Likely stays with LAC.

Nerlens Noel? *Maybe*, but wouldn't bet on it. Likely stays with 76ers (Okafor traded instead)

KD? Curry? Lowry? LOL NOPE.

This is the last summer Ainge has with a max contract slot (max cap space) before rookie deals and extensions kick in, so even if Ainge does nothing he won't have max cap space next summer regardless.

So essentially the "realistic" options this summer in the FA market are Ibaka or Millsap.

Looks like Millsap was Toronto's ideal target, but they weren't trading him anymore...

So they settled on Ibaka (still an upgrade for them, ugh...)

True, but I'd take Millsap over Ibaka though.

Yeah but if ATL made Millsap untouchable, then next target up (which is Ibaka).

The Clippers are having their what, 4th straight season with serious injuries. Chris Paul is about ot be 32 and has been consistently injured every season lately. They have no young players at all in LA that will improve. JJ Reddick is about to turn 33. Crawford will be 37. After a certain point running back this group every season for a first or second round playoff exit seems futile. Why is it such a certainty he goes back for a team that is not good enough? Frankly they should trade him before the deadline for an offer.

Clippers have all ready reached and passed their apex. Boston as is is all ready better than them; he might consider us in FA if he is serious about winning.

I'd love to agree, and you make valid points, but Griffin seems to love LAC, and they could offer him a lot more $$$ with the new CBA.

Now unless the Clips straight up say, "No Griffin we don't want you hear at all", he's probably staying put.

Same with CP3.
