  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
These poor Magicfans , their GM has been on a tear and destroy mission since drafting Heznojia...
-Traded away Sabonis and Oladipo to the Thunder for Ibaka...
Ibaka is now saying he won't re-sign so they are trying to trade him for whatever they can get.
-Traded away Tobias Harris
-Signed Biyombo to a 4 year, $72 million contract
-All coaches he's hired have failed pretty hard.
-Hasn't drafted any potential All Stars other than Aaron Gordon who is 'sort of' on track to be a starting caliber NBA player.
-Heznojia and Elfrid Payton are good, but both have pretty poor ceilings at this stage. Not exactly busts (well the jury is still out on Mario), but not exactly All Stars either.

Has he got long left?
He must be sh$%#^ himself right now huh?

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Orlando's owner is very bad at holding his GMs accountable. Always has been. So I am going to go with "no". Certainly deserves to be fired though.

I voted yes, but I almost want to change it.  If he were going to be fired, it makes a lot more sense to have done it a month ago, so that he's not trying to make a "save my job" trade in the next ten days.  Those rarely go well

Hezonja, please.

And yes, he should be fired. The Magic are going nowhere in the last years.

He should.

If they're going to fire him they should do it now before he can do any more damage.

Unless he does it with us  ;D

Anyway, back to the topic...  Orlando has 20 wins and looks awful. Everything seems to have gone in the wrong direction. Not sure whether he will be fired though for the reason Who mentions. The decision ultimately lies with the owner, and it's difficult to predict how he will react to the team's crisis.

PS I checked my history  and in comment from August 6 I expected them to make the playoffs- straight into the dustbin of history.

hes been trying to fit square pegs into round holes for a while now. Seriously the guy sucks. Traded Sabonis for one year of Ibaka; Tobias Harris for who again?

Tobias Harris for Irsan Ilyasova, whom he also traded for Ibaka.
