Overlooked in today's emotional game is the fact that we had to really impress Blake.

Not only did we win, but we won while playing badly and jacking up 52 three pointers on 30% shooting and 42% shooting overall. That's hard to do.

Furthermore, we showed him what it would be like to be surrounded in the frontcourt by two actual starting caliber players instead of just DJ and a scrub at the 3. Horford had an excellent game with 13 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and a +15 overall. Crowder also had a solid game with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, and a +15 overall. I'm sure Blake would love to have an offensive threat at the 5 next to him who can hit both threes AND free throws, along with a legitimate two-way threat at the 3 on the other side of him.

Finally, and most importantly, we showed him what it's like to be a Celtics player in Boston, and we also showed him the legendary status he could achieve by playing here. What are the two main reasons Al came here and left Atlanta - a promising present/future and our fanbase. Hell, even Doc said that other Clippers players were talking about how awesome our fans were:

Doc Rivers says that other Clippers players commented throughout the night on how amazing Celtics fans are.

So, I'm starting to think that Griffin potentially considering us in free agency isn't a crazy idea. It seems pretty clear that they're not really going to be able to get over that hump and beat GS, and what other team really gives him a better chance of sustained success going forward than the C's?

If they don't bring the band back together in LA this summer, which is no sure thing, especially if they underperform once again in the playoffs, then we honestly have to be the number one landing spot for Blake, right? What other team offers a better situation?

Looking on the Clippers Bleacher Report page, several Clippers players were praising the C's fans:

That is BIG TIME for a potential free agent this summer. I'm pretty sure Al Horford had a similar experience with Celtics fans in the playoffs last year that ultimately put him over the edge to come here. I think it was when Boston fans were still cheering us on with chants in game 6 versus Atlanta.

I think our only chance at Blake would be if the Clippers get bounced in the first round again.  I don't see that happening unless they have an injury in the playoffs or do so poorly in the regular season that they draw the Warriors, Spurs, or maybe even the Rockets in the first round
I'm bitter.

They're in 5th right now, which would put them up against the Jazz without home court advantage. That's a 50/50 series for who wins that. If they drop one more spot in Paul's absence and face the Rockets without home court advantage, I don't see how they win that series.

Blake Griffin does not care about Basketball.....Now if they were filming a movie or a commercial, he might have been impressed.

I'm not sure that Griffin fits in with what we do. A lot of his points are short jumpers. Doesn't stretch floor.

He can still play.

I'd take him...he can still create a shot and he's a good facilitator.

If he agrees to come off the bench.  Other than that, no.  The guy don't even care about basketball

He the bad thing about him and CP 3 .....they are ruined by TV , Hollywood ,  pop culture , the whole celebrity gig.

They maybe be worthless to most teams as making them contenders .unless they are in certain cities.  They are big market divas

Kudos to James for doing his thing in Cleveland.

Wow, this could literally be the WORST thing that could happen!!!  Blake has virtually NO lift left.  He looks like he is carrying around 100 lbs. in each leg!!!  I want NO part of the shell of what is left of Blake Griffin!!!  Yes, he got his points, but someone on that Paul-less team HAD to score.  He literally got blocked by the rim on his reverse dunk attempt!!!

I really felt quite SAD for him knowing that he likely will NEVER EVER be that super-athletic Blake that he once was!!  Those does are done and he truly does NOT have the outside game to become great again with limited athleticism!!

You have to consider the circumstances. Dude is coming off an 18 game layoff due to injury. He's only about a week and a half back after knee surgery. He's playing without a decent PG and the back court was a mess. Despite all of that he still scored 23 and got 8 boards.

Cooked? Doubt it.

I would be interested in him but health is a big question.  The guy can still play.  He would actually be really good in this system with his passing but I don't see it happening.
