Danny and Celtics brass were spoiled by the KG trade.  He is NOT looking for singles, doubles or triples...he looking to Big Papi one over the center field fence. He hit a triple w/IT a few years ago, but my gut tells me If nothing comes along with HR potential ie Boogie, PG, JB, AD, he'll take ball 4 for the rest of the season and be content going into the off-season.  Those ping pong balls will be huge. That alone will determine what type of hand we're playing with pre-draft.

Some people want to make a move...just to make a move and because other teams are making moves, but I honestly don't see anyone moving by this deadline that's going to make any other team that much better.  I love where we are in the standings, playing good ball even without key pieces and most importantly being competitive night in and night out save the Sac game.

I wouldn't be upset if we did nothing.

just read that the bulls made lopez available for a first rounder.

Certainly interesting and probably a good fit for us.

We have the Clippers pick in 2019, contingent of Toronto getting Clips pick in 2017 (which is highly likely) and protected 1-14.  I would be fine giving away that pick but then you have to match the at least 80% of $13M in salary.  I am not sure even Zeller ($8M) and James Young ($1.8M) get us there.  Amir works but I don't think we want to give up him (then it becomes a lateral in many respects).  Zeller and Jerebko work but not sure about that (unless there is a secret plan to bring Zizic over).  Do we throw in Jerebko with Zeller and Young?  Chicago probably doesn't have the roster spots for a 3 for 1 so maybe they offer Portis in return (not likely I guess).

Seems like a tough trade to pull off.

Lopez is good, but trading for him would eat up our cap space for the summer. A move like that doesn't go along with Ainge's recent MO
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Welp... it looks like it will be NOTHING.

Vucevic I honestly don't want because he's under contract at around 12M/Year and he takes us out of the FA market next summer.

If no other star trades are lined up, then a solid no to Vucevic. He doesn't thread the needle alone AND affects cap flexibility this summer.

Yep, when we go up against the likes of Valenciunas or Gortat or Tristan Thompson, no fear, we have GodZeller!

The problem with the baseball analogy is that in the NBA you can't score (i.e. win a championship) without hitting a home run.

Sacramento have plethora of big men. We could acquire one of them for cheap.

WCS is a possibility.

I think Ainge would consider dealing Rozier in a deal for him.
