Wow what a bunch of bs here. Irving only at 8? And Simmons at 10? Three lakers in top 25 but their best player (in 5 years) Zubac not in it? Gordon and Lavine (c'mon its not the dunk contest). If Oladipo was top 25 would Magic dealt him for nothing? Maker lol... this article is on the very low amateur level. Do these reporters even watch games? What's next they gonna say Otto freakin Porter should get a max?

He might get It but he definitely doesn't absolutely deserve it.

That list is ridiculous.  Would anybody here trade Jaylen Brown for:

* Oladipo
* Aaron Gordon
* Julius Randle
* Thon Maker
* Steven Adams

I think they just assume because Jaylen isn't getting minutes on a playoff team, that he is not a top talent in terms of potential.
Taking contract situations out of it, I'd trade Brown for Adams, Randle, Gordon, and Oladipo but not for Maker (probably not Lavine either, he seems like a pure chucker who I don't expect to improve from where he is at).

Remember when you said Jaylen Brown has Jeff Green's personality? Sure didn't look like it last night.

As for the list, I don't care about it. Elhassan hates Boston and has been quoted in his dislike for the city. Brown shouldn't be on this list since he barley plays and hasn't really proven anything, but niether has Ingram so I don't get that part of it.
you mean when Brown went 2 of 6 from the field (4 of 6 from the line) scored 8 points, had 1 steal and 2 fouls but no other stats in 23 minutes of game time.  That is a pretty classic Jeff Green stat line.

So you are admitting you didn't watch the game and just checked the box score this morning?

He completely held his own on the defensive end, actually making an impact in the comeback late 3rd early 4th.  He also got into it with a few TOR players after a presumed hard foul and didn't back down at all, showing some the passion and edge that Jeff Green has NEVER had.
Jeff Green was a very solid defender as well.  And I never said Green and Brown had  identical personalities, but Brown's personality is much closer to Green's than it is Smart or Crowder.  He is much more an intellectual player, who is athletic, but not uber athletic, and uses that athleticism well.  It also doesn't mean that Brown will top out as a Jeff Green type player.  All different personality types reach all different levels of success.

Because any time a guy with some of the most efficient shooting percentages in the NBA brings equally impress defense you definitely don't want to pay him. ::)

Thanks for the eye roll. We are not talking about Antonio Davis. You can disagree without the condescending attitude. I am not as high on him as you are. Doesn't mean you have to be a jerk about it.

Following an offseason in which Bismack Biyombo got like 70 million dollars you don't think Otto porter is worth 22 mil a year?

I think Bismack was a terrible contract. It has already been commented that the Magic can not move him because he is such a bad contract. I don't think the contracts handed out this past offseason will be as ridiculous in offseasons moving forward. Many teams had so much cap space they just wanted to spend it on absolutely anything because they could. The contracts of Mosgov, Noah, Bismack and Evan Turner are already seen as albatrosses for their franchises just 4 months into the season with none of those guys being injured.

While less vocal, I imagine the Mavericks are already regretting the contract they gave Barnes. The contract for Parsons also seems like a disaster at this point. Even Crabbe whether it be the nets offer or the fact that Trailblazers matched it is seen as really limiting their ability to improve their team.

It is highly unusual for so many teams to have buyers remorse before the first season of a contract is completed without any injuries involved. There is definitely teams that will be more cautious this offseason with their dollars.

He's definitely closer to the Crowder/Smart variant of character. Sure he's more intelligent from an academic standpoint, but from what we've seen so far he gets far more chippy than Green ever did. His personality comes across more like a Ray Allen to me, incredibly dedicated but ready to stand up for himself when it's called for. That is something that Green never was

How much Jae got? C'mon...

Jae was considered underpaid even before the cap jumped.  The amount that he's getting per year has no bearings on how much Otto Porter will get paid.

That's like expecting the asking price for a young player with the potential to really break out should be an expiring contract and a late 1st rounder because that's what it cost to get IT.
I'm bitter.
