Not trying to be the buzzkill for this win. It was great to finally beat the Raps and this was well-deserved, but I really hope Brad learns two specific lessons from this winning streak.

1. Al Horford is NOT a power forward. He is a center and should be playing center at all times (Unless the other team is going big which rarely happens nowadays). When we play him at the 4, the defense suffers because he't not quick enough on his feet.
2. Al Horford should be paired with a POWER FORWARD. I have nothing against Amir at all and still think he's awesome, but the safer bet is either JJ or Olynyk because those guys are more suitable at the 4 spot than Amir is.

Great win tonight everyone! Let's keep this going 'till the all-star break!

Well was that really in the cards?

Calm down, man.  With an injured KO, we have one PF.  With an injured Bradley, we have a limited ability to play smaller.  Jerebko cant play the entire game -- did you want to see Amir and Zeller on the floor for 15 minutes together?

I'm plenty calm. I apologize if the caps locks say otherwise. This has been an issue plaguing the team's defense all season. I'm just sick of seeing brad pair Amir/Al with Al at the 4 because that's been the Achilles heel that teams have been attacking again and again. We actually had Crowder and Brown play the 4 and the defense played better after that.

Nah man, Boogie is the starting PF for the Kings. He'd be perfect
I'm bitter.

Yeah, I've been preaching it since the summer. I thought Brad had finally got the message, but apparently not. It doesn't even have to be JJ either. KO or JJ would be infinitely better than Amir in the starting lineup, though JJ is probably better to keep KO's offense with the bench.

We really need to pair him with a more mobile big. Noel, Ibaka, or Milsap would all work really well defensively with him. I'm starting to think we should try hard to get Milsap from Atlanta. I think we're better than that 60 win Hawk team with Milsap added here.

As for Boogie, I think he's just so much of an improvement that you look past the potential defensive problem fit and add him anyways.

Well, it's well-known that the Boogie/Koufos pairing is terrible together. Boogie clearly plays his best when he's the 5 and plays with a floor-spacing 4 like Tolliver.

I'm just saying there were only so many combinations.  He's trying to have one of Marcus and IT on the court with Rozier, so that means Marcus is on the bench at the beginning.  If you want Crowder and Brown at the 3/4, who starts at the 2?  If KO and AB are still out Friday, maybe we'll see Gerald get a start to break up that pairing I guess, but the options are limited.  Jordan Mickey?

The other thing I'd note is that Al and Amir are +6.8 per 100 possessions when on the court together.  By that metric, no one pairs up better with him.  So on one hand, the eyes say one thing, but on the other, the numbers suggest it works pretty well.

We are winning and are second place in the East. We'll have two top picks in the next two loaded drafts and we have yet to play at full strength this year. we also have 3 very good Draft and stash players waiting to play next year. We also have a large assortment of other picks down the line. It's a great time to be a Celtics fan!!!! Anyone remember the 90s and how bleak things were. This is a good time!

We were cursed by what happened to Bias and Lewis. Nonetheless, Pitino got us Pierce. Jim O'Brien turned us into a playoff team. We need someone like Brown to become a phenom. Or Marcus Smart might do it. He's still hoisting up a lot of bricks. Maybe it will click at some point.

He said something about needing the off-seasons to be able to improve in areas such as shooting.

Brad gets the injury card if we lose. No Avery is bad enough, but no Olynyk means Zeller or I guess Jordan Mickey might get one last chance. Olynyk was just starting to get in a groove. Sure we need a center, but Amir, Al and Kelly is at least a puncher's chance for wins at a minimum. One couldn't say the same with Humphries, Bass and Sully.

But back to this person's point. The Celtics were usually interesting during the title drought era. I would take some of those seasons over the last Big Three years.

Stevens is a great coach. There will always be room for critique. The three guard stuff seems stupid.

I wonder if Ainge signed Horford to get Durant. If so, we have to accept that's Horford. Maybe Horford should be the one benched. But there's no one to replace him with, as Amir looks spent most of the time.

The great thing about Horford is that he's still pretty good, and at some point he'll only have one or two years to go. We are stuck with him. Maybe he is banged up, but not enough to sit out games.

Isaiah has to be the greatest little guy of all time for offense. Now we just have to clean up, pile up wins and wins. We are now the fifth best NBA team in the overall standings. With all the injuries, Brad can play that card for any suspicious strategies implemented.

Brad is, by far, the best young coach in the league.

We have nothing to complain about with regards to our coach.

Anyone expecting perfection is foolish.

As always, it cracks me up that people who post on a sports blog legitimately think they know things that an excellent HC in the NBA doesn't.

But hey, you guys keep doing you.
