What team WOULD want Melo?

This is purely hypothetical, but...

Besides the Clippers and the Nets, which team in this league WOULD take on Melo and his contract?

I can't think of another team that wants to contend and could with the addition of Melo besides the Clippers. I don't think Melo moves the needle enough for them but they are desperate to do something stupid.

Any other team is more worried about maintaining cap space and flexibility and watching while the Cavs, Spurs, and Warriors duke it out.

Out of the 28 other teams left in the league, what team do you think would willingly take on Melo?

Also, this exercise was excluding the Nets, who would of course take him in a heartbeat over the 4 d-leaguers they currently have filling out their starting 5.

I'm not sure of the point of this exercise since he won't go to any of these dumpster fire franchises. Boston is the best fit with the Clippers second, but you and the rest of us already know that. My apologies if I just don't get the direction of this thread.

It's a hypothetical. For the purpose of this exercise, Melo doesn't have a no trade clause and the knicks just want him off their team.

The point is to see if Melo has regressed in ability or talent/become enough of a headache that, coupled with his crazy contract, ANY team in the NBA excluding the Nets, Clippers, Celtics, GSW, or Cavs, would take him for peanuts.

I can see Chicago taking a stab at him. All the Chicago team is this season was a marketing move by upper management to squeeze the last bits of cash out before the rebuild. Having Melo on that team is bound to generate a bit more cash for them in the short term.
