2018 will be a major year for resigning top players but 2017 comes first.  We have cap flexibility but if we don't sign big free agent we will have to resign some of our players. So i will try to make analyses on our expiring contracts.

James Young - I don't thing someone want to give new deal to him. Only impressive thing about him is his age. 3 years in the league and still just 21. Except for that there is not much to be said. He didn't improve enough to became a role player and i would rather give his spot on the roster on Nader or some other second round pick. So no new contract for him.

Gerald Green - Right now he is playing for the minimum but that probably won't be the case next year. He reminds me of Eddie House, taller House because of his shooting but the thing is he is not consistent shooter. Few games he is on streak and than he gets cold. I would still like to have him on the same role next year but depends on the money. For example if he asks 3mil i would say ok, if he asks 6 mil i won't resign him because i believe that he is replaceble and that DA can found another bench shooter for cheap on the free agents list. So the verdict will be - it depends on the money

For the other players i decided to make 2 groups of 2 players based on the position they play.

Olynyk - Zeller - Very similar players. Both 7 feet tall, both soft, both not to good at defense, both not rim protectors but both with solid scoring skills. Zeller has solid mid range and KO can hit a three. They both can run the floor well and the biggest diffrence probably is that KO has some ball handling abilities. KO is the better player here but not by much. He hasn't improved enough to be a starter and maybe he will never do. He will probably ask at aleast 12 mil per season by i wouldn't give him those money because he will be a bench player, 15-20 mpg player. On the other hand Zeller for 8 mil per season i would be ok because i think he is good enough to play solid 15 mpg. To be clear KO is better but unless he proves he can be starter and play more than 20 mpg i woun't give big money for a bench player. And because we don't need 2 similar back up centers i think only one of them will be a Celtic next season.

Johnson - Jerebko - These are 2 guys i really like. The problem is non of them is good enough to be starter. But for 15-20 min per game they are great. I don't think they will ask a lot of money but i think it will comes to whether we sign big men in free agency. If we sign other big men to play next to Horford than we should resign one from both groups for back ups. One of Amir/Jonas and one of KO/Zeller.  If we don't sign quality big men i think both Jonas and Amir will be resigned.

I voted Jerebko, because of his versatility.

The 3 ball, the headiness, the energy and the hops.

I say Jerebko.. And hopefully Gerald Green.

Really hoping one of the two can stay with a MLE or something with the team hopefully becoming contenders two years from now.

Both guys give you high energy minutes and I feel like Jerebko is one of those "average" guys in the regular season, but a guy who turns it up in the playoffs off the bench. Just my $0.02

Green could be a good veteran presence off the bench as well.

This is what I hope.

But obviously if we sign a max player it's impossible (unless either player chooses to take a minimum or exception deal to stay here).

If we don't sign big men from free agency, we also probably won't draft big men. So who is left as a big men on our team? Horford and Mickey?

I agree on Jerebko. Guy knows where to be and when to be there.

I envision Ainge signing one of Ibaka/Noel/Millsap, though even that is not a guarantee.

If not I would keep Jerebko at least.

Zizic is coming over and should be a solid option off the bench.

Jerebko should be affordable too. I'd hang on to him. The others can go if not traded before then.

I think JerebGod and Olynyk should be retained at reasonable, non-Evan Turner, prices. Why did OP even bother putting James Young up there? Like who in the right mind is going to cast that vote? Actually, it would be hilarious if he got some.

Do we have Bird Rights to KO and Jerebko? Or just KO?

Jerebko.
KO- but he will probably get offers we do not want to match.

I forgot about Zizic and Yabusele. But still we could use Jonas or Amir's expirience. We don't want to have too young bench
