I'm amazed at how much the defense has fallen off from last year.  We're Sully and Turner secretly the key to everything last season?

Mike

I've asked myself this as well.  I think ET's departure hurt us more on the defensive end more than people realize.  He was versatile and did a solid job for us.  His minutes are being taken by Rozier, who has really struggled on the defensive end so far.

Sully was terrible defensively, but at least helped us close possessions out by rebounding.

Replacing Turner with Rozier/Brown/Green certainly is a big part of it, but having Al out on the perimeter is also part of it, along with having Amir be our de-facto defensive 5.

Yep, not a good pairing with IT due to the tunnel vision, too.

Amir doing a bit of everything in the 4th, making it up for his 0 points / 2 rebounds in the first 3

I agree. Amir is not a 5 and Horford is more effective as a 5. Don't understand why Horford needs to be a stretch 4 when he is better on both ends as a 5

What I really want to know is how our Pick and Roll defense got so much worse from last year.

I think Rozier had a good game for him, which mostly means scoring... 5-12 is not so good for %. Second most shots on the team...

TP. That's one of the more obvious observations after half a season.

Wow, second most shots on the team in 20 min. That shouldn't happen

He helped get us some momentum after that slow start in the third.
