Rozier can't play point by himself. Combine him with Gerald Green and Jaylen Brown and the collective basketball I.Q. is probably as low as this team can manage.
When Bradley doesn't play, Brad's been good about making sure Smart or Isaiah are on the floor. Until tonight.
I'm about ready for Demetrius Jackson to be given Rozier's minutes. In the meanwhile, I don't expect Rozier out there without some adults in the second half.
You'd think, but Brad tends to surprise us lately with these types of decisions.
I'm not quite sure why you're complaining (or sounding pessimistic at a minimum) about recent coaching decisions when we've won 13 out of 16.
Just because we're winning doesn't mean everything has been perfect. We've still been awful defensively, and Brad still makes questionable rotation decisions.
Do you seriously think this type of basketball that we've been playing during this streak will work for us in the playoffs when the game slows down and teams actually have to play defense and rebound the ball?
I think Brad has a lot more reasons for his rotation decisions than "win every game by 15-20". If they're winning, I really don't care what his rotations are. The number of lineup combinations that are possible are literally in the hundreds of thousands for a 15-man roster. He can't see them all, but if he wants to go into the playoffs having seen a lot of them, so be it.
It's not about him seeing differing lineups; it's about him continuing to use lineups that have proven to be terrible over the entire season - such as Rozier being the primary/only ballhandler/playmaker or the three point guard lineup. And it's not like he tries them, sees that they're not working, and then changes them either. Rather, he overplays them when they're clearly not working, and they usually end up costing us the lead in the process. That's been one of his weaknesses ever since he's been here.
EDIT: At least now he's going bigger with Mickey off the bench in the second unit.
