IT hero ball;

Crowder mentally taking himself out of the game;

Terrible rotation and defensive assignment decisions by Brad;

That's what lost us this game. Getting outrebounded by 16, yet Brad has the audacity to go small. And what happens? We get blocked several times in a row and give up several offensive rebounds.

It's as much Danny's fault as Brad's fault for not giving him competent bigs to work with, but Brad has an unhealthy obsession with going small that has killed us more this year than it has helped us.

Jae looks bored down the stretch. I feel like asking him to play tonight was a huge inconvenience.

It's completely ridiculous. He is absolutely not acting like a professional right now.

I'd bench him for a game if I was Brad. He's a major part of the reason we have an entitlement attitude at times. This is inexcusable after his little outburst.
Shhhhh! We don't want to disrespect him.

How do they get more from Horford? He's been terrible two straight games. At least Crowder is cheap.

How is 14 pts and 9 rebounds disappointing? He's not Valenciunas but he's not bad as you are trying to imply.

Why don't NBA coaches doubleteam players more when they're going off?  They see one guy essentially beating them by himself and they rarely ever decide to just double them every time they cross halfcourt and force someone else to make a shot.

Mike
Teams are too good at spacing the court. If you double it will usually lead to an easy bucket from the defense having to adjust and help out 1-2 plays out of the double.

Out rebounded 49-33 tonight.  The C's haven't won a game yet against a quality team this year.  If DA doesn't see we need a rebounding big he needs to go.  This team is going no where this season as constructed.  Get a [dang] rebounding big........

Jae looked disinterested and disengaged.

I want to let it go because I want it all to blow over and for him to go back to playing the great ball he had been playing, but he really needs to get his head on straight.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

Just a bad loss. Embarrassing stuff in that 4th quarter.

They can't beat the Raptors.

Very disappointing play down the stretch. This should have been a win.

I still think we're the better team.

We may be a better overall team, but it seems the difference is DeRozan, and it's large enough for them to win in a series.

Too bad we don't have a 6'4" bulldozing elite defensive wing to put on him. Oh wait...

Look, at some point the results speak for themselves. Crowder looks mentally broken.

Agreed. And while I was p---ed that Celtics fans were cheering Hayward, Crowder has to get over it. If he gets rattled by even the slightest bit of criticism, he should just run for president like that other guy, he's not long for Boston.

You sound like you're losing your mind over this.

Still regular season. no need to lose it yet.

We got a look at how a good team might handle our best player down the stretch in a playoff type situation. Just run picks until IT has to defend a taller shooter (aka just about any other NBA guard) and it's almost automatic they'll score on every possession.

I'm standing with IT being a regular season hero.

Even if Smart was a covering him they were putting whoever was covering Derozan into the PNR and causing a switch. They found the mismatches and ran the PNR to get the switch

Yeah, if you're not mentally tough enough to deal with something as trivial as that, then you don't need to be in a Boston uniform.
