too skinny and he will not get that shot off the dribble-his defense is suspect getting over screens
the ball flies out of his hand and seems to get it in perfect position for shooters
-doesn't have great length
i just think in todays nba you better be able to get over screens and that shot is hard to watch

I love prospects with super-unique unicorn skillsets (i.e. Ben Simmons) so I'd be very happy to have him.  If anyone can make him work in the NBA it's probably Brad.

I don't think the shot will be that problematic if he's being guarded by PGs and SGs. He's likely gonna be taller than both of them.

He is my favorite prospect I have seen.  He reminds me of Deron Williams or Jason Kidd with a shot.  Skinny Guards are fine in todays NBA, and he will add weight to his frame, but guys with the feel and the ability to control the game are rare.  He can do everything you want a PG to do, and steps up when the game gets tight.  To me, he is one of the least risky picks in the draft, though he may not have quite the upside of others.

Completely agree.

I think he is the best prospect in the draft.

Thus far.

Rollie, trust me when I tell you this kid is everything you could ask for in a player or a Celtic.

His BBIQ is off the Charts. Even on defense he will perfectly time a block on a big man with his length and anticipation.

He's the most unselfish player I have ever seen other than Jason Kidd. He constantly probes the defense for any advantage he can spot and gives up the ball immediately.

It would be a real treat to watch this kid play for the greatest team in the Universe.

I am waiting to see more of all three but right now I have Fultz, Ball and Tatum as my first tier draft prospects. I wouldn't have any worries if the Cs draft Ball. He has great positional size, two NBA level skills (court vision and outside shot, and is producing both statistically and with wins in high level college basketball. The question marks are his ability to create of the dribble and get to the rim. These skills will be what separate him from being a solid starter or an elite player.

I am worried about his (1) his athleticism (2) his ability to get into the paint in the halfcourt offense (3) defense.

Not convinced he has star potential.

Who don't you think he's slightly more athletic than Jason Kidd Ever was?

That's the only comparison that matters to me.

 Kidd stats

 13 ppg 4.9 RPG 7.7 apg .286% 3p .463% fg

 Ball stats

 14.3 ppg 5.7 RPG 8.1 apg .434% 3p .525 fg%

Kidd did crush Ball in SPG but Ball wins in BPG and maybe is a more versatile defender.

Jason Kidd with a . 434% shooting the three? Are you Kidding me? Dude is a player for sure.

Nowhere near the athlete that Kidd was.

Huge differences in explosive quickness and lateral quickness in favor of Kidd.

Also guys UCLA plays a four guard one big man small ball lineup where Ball defends the other teams PF!

He's perfect fit The new NBA.

If someone could edit the thread title. It's Lonzo Ball, not Lorenzo.

His frame reminds me of Shawn Livingston.
