Not to start a flame war, but this kid is why I'm open to moving Smart or Rozier for an asset like Noel this year  because he can become the scoring punch for the 2nd unit.

PS I'm pro-Smart, but we can't get better and keep all our players at the same time

It's hard to move people to make room for Fultz when we still don't know where our draft pick lands.

I would not assume the Celtics will win the lottery next year. That's a longshot, no matter where the Nets finish. They have gone down that path before, and flamed out. The worst team, more often than not, doesn't win the lottery.

Still wondering how the Cavs won it from nowhere--just when James signed with them. Hmm.
Don't expect Celtics to get that lucky.

two keys in your analysis are

'effortless' -- almost as if he is toying with the other players.

'playmaking' -- his play making shows great vision.

I was particularly impressed by the play where he tapped the rebound to his teammate.

Maybe if he'd expend a little more effort and stop "toying" with other players his team wouldn't be losing badly to Yale.

If we drafted Fultz changes are not good we resign Thomas.

Smart or Rozier. IT is clearly the star on this team. You let him go and this sets the team back for a few years. Not sure Horford signed up for that and Ainge certainly wants to take the next few steps for this team.

No doubt Fultz has talent but it will take some time in the NBA as well. How many in the NBA average 26+ PPG? Not many.

I'm okay dealing Smart and/or Rozier in a trade for a big. Not IT.

Unless we trade Fultz for the 3rd star we need to go with Thomas and Horford, someone like Cousins.

JUDGING by your name you really want him to play hard for UW when he is not getting paid. I don't blame him for not wanting to get hurt. He should be in the NBA if the powers did not mandate one year in college. He is one and done.

Maybe I'm mis-reading the year so far, but it looks like he has clear separation from everyone else in the draft. At least right now.

No he does not.  Offensively he is tier 1 talent

But so is smith jr, tatum, monk

Defensively Fultz screams out solid but not much more

This draft lacks a dominant two way player... Giles was suppose to come close

Josh Jackson. He just need to refine his shooting. Guy can attack the basket and play point.

This stood out to me as well.  Yes, he looks super talented, but his team lost to Washington State.  Is that not at least a mild concern?

Yeah, defense and W/L are concerns, but I'm not familiar enough with their other guys to know whether it's just that he has bad teammates. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I did notice that his off/def ratings are 124/105. But overall, their average scoring off/def split is 85/80. It's not an exact apples-to-apples comparison but it suggests to me that they are a lot better with him on the court, and a lot worse when he's not on the court.

I can't find on-off splits for NCAA the way you can for NBA. Maybe someone else can.

If he cant shoot the nba defense will play him differently

I think we need to stop drafting guys and hoping their jump shots pan out . Would be nice to draft guys that already can shoot or have upside like tatum
