I'm coming around to liking brown.  Brad needs to play him more

This ^ and JJ needs to sit more or be traded.

Brown seems to be a fast learner .

He needs to be on the court WAY more .

Brown isnt ready yet for more minutes. He would essentially get the minutes Smart plays in small ball and Stevens loves that small ball lineup.

We have to have patience with this 20 year old kid. I like the way Stevens is bringing him on slowly. He will learn more that way, imo.

Idk man. Brown makes a TON of rookie mistakes, even more than the average rookie. He needs to play to outgrow them, but when your a team that's trying to make the ECF, you can't just throw him out there and let him lose you games.

Here and there I've seen times where I wish Brad had played him some more, but 10/15 minutes a game is about where he should be.

I like the kid a lot. I think he can be real good. Great? I don't know. Nobody knows.

He is showing just enough sparkle to be trade bait for a big fish. Or they can keep him and watch him blossom into an all-star in 2 years.

Either way, they are in a good position with him.

No more excuses after last night's game. Brown showed he deserves more minutes.

Brown is going to have to earn his minutes because he's playing for a deep, talented team. But now people are seeing the flashes of talent that I discussed on draft night (my sig was created on draft night and won't be changed for 5 years).

That earning of time is actually a good thing because Brown is learning two things:
1. He's not going to be given anything in this league
2. There's an expectation of winning

Brown is seeing where he can excel, where he can improve and you can see the growth in his game from the start of the year to now. Just imagine where he'll be come playoff time - especially since the Cs are going to have a number of practices in January whereas they couldn't in December.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

I doubt it, for 2 reasons,

Crowder is more or less Brown's mentor during the off season with Jimmy Butler

and if you cut more of Jerebko's minutes and pass them to Brown, that might bump Brown's minute between 15-20 minutes a game. I love Jerebko but I don't think he is enough of a difference maker to play solid 10 minutes every game. I think some of those minutes should go to a player we are planning to develop

And?? Brown has a much higher upside than his "mentor"

How so?  Brown's upside to me appears to be Jeff Green 2.0

Did you like Jeff Green more than Jay? If so, that's cool, he was a very serviceable starter in his mid-twenties.  I think I like Jay more though.

Jae doesn't strike me as a guy who get's jealous over his teammate earning more minutes over another player. If he is only earning 5 additional minutes and taking it away from Jerebko while Crowder still starts and play the minutes he play, i do not see why or how in the world he would get upset. If you say he starts taking 10 minutes from Crowder AND taking his starting role, sure, I can see that. If his current position isn't threatened yet, I don't see why he would even be remotely upset

Crowder has always been a team first guy so if Brown is slowly earning his minutes and helping his team win, I don't think anyone would be upset beside the person who lost his own minutes to him

Brown right now in my honest opinion is ready to be primary backup to the SF position. Sure he makes his mistakes, but let's not forget he helped a game or two, at least in my memory, the 20 point comeback vs the Cavs few nights ago.

Jaylen had a good game. Let him string together 10 games in a row like last night then lets see about a minutes increase. He needs to show he has earned those minutes and he has to show consistency to earn more minutes. Just my opinion.

And tell me how did Jae look early on in his career? Brown is ahead of the curve at the same age

Brown was a number 3 pick. Jae 2nd rounder

You can argue Draymond Green, IT4 were drafted in the 2nd round. But guys drafted early in the draft usually have higher upsides, skillset etc. Once Brown reaches these things...

He's been quietly stringing together a bunch of good games. He just doesn't get the playing time for the results to look good.
