With Fultz off the board the Boston Celtics select The Six foot one inch guard out of North Carolina State.

"We think Dennis and Isaiah can co excist in the backcourt" Says Danny Ainge Boston's GM.

I actually really like the kid and I think he's Electric he could just simply replace Thomas if he walks in free agency.

I'm just trying to prepare everybody for the craziest scenario that actually could happen.

How many games have you seen Dennis Smith play?  He is arguably the most explosive athlete in this draft!!  BTW, he is 6' 2", if that matters to you at all.

I have watched him play quite a bit as my son is a freshman at NC State and my oldest daughter is an NC State grad.

I agree that we do NOT need him, but IF his knee stays healthy, he should have a long and productive NBA career.  He is a shorter Dwayne Wade at this point.

The last thing we need is to sign another guard 6'3" or under!!!

Not concerned about that at all.  If Dennis Smith is so much better than the next guy, either he'll be very tradeable or one of our other guards will be moved.  It won't keep me up at all.

I'm Impressed by Dennis Smith Jr.  ... he is a terror in transition and when locked in can get you that bucket you need

the only issues I'm noticing more and more about him is sometimes the "nuts and bolts" are missing ... for example driving to the net against 3 guys and/or without a plan. Confused in how to execute PNR (like Rozier)

Shooting the ball (not really open) with lots of time left in the shot clock..  But his 3 pt shooting percentage is very good so far

Defensively at times confused... But when locked in, is a very good defender

short wingspan... though this is not a big deal as he is a pg and is also 6'2 (just above average in height). Has a body similar to Steph Curry but is much more explosive vertically

Overall not sure about taking DSJ at #2

Fultz, Tatum, Jackson (Giles depending on his health) are all better choices imo....  and then from there you have a choice to pick (pg options)

Ball  - pure pg
Smith Jr. - explosive slashing pg
Fox -  like a Schroeder. Quick to the basket
Ntilikina -  elite defensive potential

Actually he's 6 feet and one half inch shoes off. Even worse only a 6'3" wingspan.

That said he's a combination of Steve Francis and Allen Iverson. And Danny loves short Guys 8)

He is better than Ball, and is the 3rd best prospect in this draft.

Easier said than done about trading. Either him or the guy to be traded will have their stock dropped due to logjam. Danny ain't shipping his boys for peanuts. If the plan is to get one of these PGs, better ship one of our current guards now than later while their value is still high.

I still believe gifted PGs will always have lower upside than gifted players in every other position.

The first three to go will probably be point guards, frankly.

Jackson has only look great so far, not transcendent like Smith, Fultz, and Ball

I dont watch or follow college ball too closely, but I havent felt like Ball and certainly not Smith have been transcendent.

It is my fairly undeducated opinnion that this draft is being overrated because of its incredible depth.

I absolutely believe that there are 8 or 9 guys who would have gone second or 3rd at the latest in last years draft, but I dont think there are really any franchise altering type talents outside maybe Fultz(whom I dont love).

People hear "great draft class" and assume there is elite talent, whereas I think its just an extraordinary amount of really good talent with the usually glimpse of elite talent thrown in.

I have no interest in Smith JR, after watching the Miami game. He's cocky, plays lazy at times. Very poor effort on defense. Not a Celtic.

Frankly he's not Stevens guy at all. I doubt Ainge likes his attitude either.

I'm relieved I'm 99.9% sure we won't select him in the top four picks.

If we drafted a PG I now have Fox ahead of Smith JR.

 Fultz
 Ball
 Fox
 Smith JR

That's what people thought about Towns.
