Is Isiah turning into Allen Iverson before or eyes? Plays all out and sacrifices his body like AI, gets to the basket against anyone like AI, stroking 3's like AI..

Isaiah's been better this season than AI ever was.

Sit down little child, sit down , you don't know anything.

So, there's this thing called efficiency. Take a look:

Way to push back against a bare statement that is not slightly patronizing.. ;D TP

IT will need to keep it up though, 82 games, and practice.

TYLER ZELLER Zero Points Zero Rebounds Zero Assists Zero Minutes...got Paid more money than Isaiah Thomas for tonight's game.

Yes, this is true, and yes, Zeller is terrible. But Thomas signed in a totally different economy from Zeller. Giving Isaiah $12M in 2014 would have been crazy. It's a different world and not really a fair comparison to anyone involved (Zeller, IT, Ainge, McD, etc.)
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

It's great to even be able to make the AI/Thomas comparison, but you can't just cherry pick shooting efficiency.

Iverson at age 26 played 44 minutes per game, and scored 31 ppg for a team that averaged 91. He led the league in steals. Efficiency wasn't nearly as emphasized in the league. He basically played every minute, and scored more than 1/3rd of his team's point, on a good team. He averaged 41 mpg for his career. He carried a team to the Finals.

30 games of better scoring efficiency scoring 25% of his team's points and playing below average defense doesn't make you better than Iverson *ever* was.

Also, there are about 5 other guys scoring as efficiently and prolifically as Thomas right now. Were there 5 guys doing it better when Iverson was? When hand checking was legal and a team could make the finals scoring 90 points per night?

Hopefully, this game will stop the "trade Isaiah" discussions.

IT is so valuable to our team; it's just a shame that it isn't everybody who can see it.

We would have lost if IT had not had that performance.  He carried us.  But it also made it more clear than ever that we need another star and are a team of roleplayers.   Horford was solid as well but he is a third option guy.   I think Ainge needs to trade for another star who can score and it would be nice if they could rebound as well.

I know folks here love KO, and claim he is an advanced metric stud.  Please post his metrics from last night.  The last three games have not been good ones for him.

Part of me thinks Ainge lets him walk or deals him at the deadline.

Perhaps he is hurt or the like but his stats are regressing as the year goes on.  His shooting, ppg and rpg have went down month to month.

If it wasn't for that IT performance, this would have been a throwaway game.  I'm still not happy giving up 53% shooting to a depleted Heat team.

But that 4th quarter performance from IT was one for the ages.  The crowd definitely got their moneys worth.

Say what you want but the Heat played well last night.  They were hot all night hitting jump shots.  That happens some days in the NBA.

That was his worst game as a Celtic.  He was booed off the court and the fans cheered when he got benched.  Played super soft and had a horrendous touch foul on a layup that gifted Miami a point.  I am struggling to see how they keep him on the roster.

I don't even understand what the Celtics and FO see in Olynyk. Let him walk...

The crowd cheered while KO walked to the bench. That should sum up his time here..

He may give you 20 points once every 10 games, but besides that he's SOFT, turns the ball over, can't rebound, and seems like every big out there (even third stringers) have an advantage over him.

When has Olynyk showed up against an ELITE team? Rarely. He vanished Thursday night...

And his horrible sequence to start the 4th yesterday gave Miami a brief lead before he got benched.

I've got to think DA could still get a 2nd rounder for him.  The other team would need to be willing to do the half-season rental then could decide whether to keep him.

He scored 28 against the Warriors last year.
