I'm still hoping he's trade bait for something like a Noel trade.

Agreed, but having Jackson as our 3rd string point guard would make me really worried about IT and Smart getting injured

Agreed, but we can always sign a vet 3rd string PG after February when buyouts happen, and guys from oversee like Norris Cole can also return.

I think Rozier has been on a slightly down trajectory and Green on a fairly steep upward trajectory.  Green is now ahead of Rozier and is playing better.  Green's emergence has taken away from both Rozier and Brown for the last few games.

The Celtics are in a playoff run.  Rozier has always been a candidate for a trade (as most everyone else on the team) but that has nothing to do with this.  Green has been hurt.  Green is now healthy.  Green is going to play over Rozier until Rozier beats him out.

I'd rather say that TRoz pretty much nose-dived in his play over the last month. His good shooting got out of sync and he still struggles going over/through/under screens on D. For whatever reason, perhaps because of his poor finishing, they didn't have him driving to the basket much, and so the offense wasn't looking great in his hands either.

I still think he is one of their highest potential players, but I have always doubted their coaching of him. While he was told to focus on anything but his shooting, when his shooting fell off he got benched. I don't think the C's have a good enough shooting coach on staff to help young guys like him and Marcus during the season, so it will be interesting to see what comes next for him. He may not play again to speak of until he gets his shooting right again and/or someone's injury gives him an opportunity again.

He may well be better off on another team with another coaching staff.
