Man, bad coaching by Stevens. We had it down to 4 and he sits both Horford and IT to close the quarter and the lead goes back to 9. He put out a lineup with no scorers in the middle of our run.

He needs a guy like Cousins to challenge him.   ;D

OMG sit Olynyk on the bench!

How about TRADE him
I don't know why a team would want that. A lot of these players that we would trade outside of Avery Bradley have little value outside of inside this Celtics system
fixed it for you ;)

Well players like Crowder, Smart, Evan Turner, and Jerebko are all players that Brad puts into his system and maximizes their talents. That's why I personally think that the Celts are notorious for overvaluing our players because we are looking at their talents in context of Stevens system. We've seen a lot of these player can not recreate the success they had with the Celtics and so I think we improperly value our assets.

Considering that Brad maximizes the talent he has, our underachieving can only be blamed for the complete lack of talent he's been presented with.

What in the hell is Brad doing not keeping one of IT or Al in there with the second unit?? It's not that difficult. Now we have Smart throwing up bricks, Rozier forcing possessions, and KO not shooting because he's as timid as a beat dog.

Overmanagement.  Got too cute and wanted to buy them extra rest.  Cost us big time.

It's pretty bad that his rotations are getting questioned every single game.

It's not bad coaching these people are just humans that need breaks eventually. The only problem is that we need to keep them in to stay in the game.

1-15 from 3.  If we're 5-15, which is still below average for what we'd shoot on average for the year, this is a 2 point game.   Hopefully the averages even out in the second half.
It seems they are resorting to shooting threes because they have no one outside IT who can consistently take it to the basket. Once a defense knows you aren't driving, it's a huge disadvantage.

I mean, maybe they are.  But they average 31 threes a game on the season, so taking 15 in a half is nothing unusual.  Normally they score 1.06 points per possession when they take a 3, so that's a pretty effective shot.  First half today, not so much.  Second half has gone better.  I'm inclined to attribute it to randomness.
I wasn't talk is out whether the 3 ball is effective, clearly not in this game, but about why they do it. I do not miss Turner, but he was at least be capable of driving or the paint.

I know.  My point was if they're making over 35% of their 3's on a high volume of shots, it hasn't overall proven to be a disadvantage on offense.

Nice to see Jaylen back out there.

How'd you notice - by his characteristic over-helping on D leading to a corner three? lol

As crazy as it is to think, IT has played a solid defensive game today

JJ and Amir look like two fragile old men out there that are getting pushed around by younger guys for rebounds.
