What tha hell is Danny gonna do with all those useless picks?  Just get Cousins already.

It takes two to tango.
I think the ball is pretty clearly in our court. Danny could definitely get him if he wanted to, and not even give up one of our core players right now. Just doesn't seem to want to empty his trunk of picks for him.

I don't see how you would know that to be true?
....Look at our assets dude. We could easily blow them away with an offer of Jaylen Brown, Rozier, Amir, Zizic, 2017 and 2018 nets picks, and 2019 memphis pick. Demarcus Cousins is NOT untouchable, it would just take an offer like that to get him.
You know that for a fact do you?

1-15 from 3.  If we're 5-15, which is still below average for what we'd shoot on average for the year, this is a 2 point game.   Hopefully the averages even out in the second half.
It seems they are resorting to shooting threes because they have no one outside IT who can consistently take it to the basket. Once a defense knows you aren't driving, it's a huge disadvantage.

This is a 500 ball club right now. They have taken a step back even with addition of Horford. The second unit misses Turner big time. Smart hasn't improved his game enough for the Celtics not to miss Turner on that second unit. If Ainge can't make a trade soon this team will be a 6th or 7th seed and one and done again in the playoffs. Waiting on these draft picks in the future if a trade can't be made will ensure the Celtics as the new Hawks for a while. Good enough to make the playoffs but not good enough to advance. Need to get lucky in the draft I guess and we know how that turns out.
lol we've had some bad injury luck, played more away games than anyone else in the league and despite all this, we are still above .500

You watching the same team I am? What are they a game or two above 500? That puts them right at a 500 team. They best offensive player is 5"8. No one can rebound. The perimeter defense which used to be a strength sucks right now. Smart who more is expected of him has not improved his offense a bit. It's an average team right now with holes. You really think they have the talent to go far?

It's find to moan about this game - it's currently painful to watch - but so many immature Cs fans on this board just overreact every time something negative happens. I do not understand the lack of perspective by some folks.
Agreed. Inspite of a shooting night from hell, the Celtics are not out of this game. If they shot at their season averages it would be a close game.

There is still an entire half to go yet.

I think anyone who has followed the Demarcus Cousins situation closely and has half a brain would know he is not untouchable, unlike someone like Anthony Davis.

"Something negative" has been happening all season.  Some fans should take off those rose tinted glasses and come to realize that we suck.

Yikes. Just tuned in, was disappointed to see them down 12, then was shocked to see that they have only 31 points at HALFTIME. What the heck?!?

Lol this team has been up and down which is a trade mark of a 500 team. Take your Celtics glasses off this team has issues.

B18, you are not addressing the points the other poster raises. Read his post first, then respond to his points.

Maybe they are shooting poorly because they are playing an excellent defense?

Fair point but the 3 pointers weren't all superbly defended, were they? But you are right, it is the result of a combo f things.
