2 Celtics trade ideas - quite possible, worst case

Danny is a cheapie.  So he is not going to overpay for anybody.  If the 76ers wants a nets pick or 2 celtics 1st for Noel, Danny hangs up the phone.    vs another gm may take the risk and trade the 2018 nets pick for Noel

So unless Danny is trying to rip off somebody or It's a trade for a major star, I'm not going to expect anything to happen between now and the trade deadline. Except these two deals to be highly possible

Trade 1

To Mavs: Zeller, Mickey, Young, 2nd round pick
To Celtics: Bogut, Finney-Smith, Salah Mejri (waived)

Trade 2

To Nuggets: Amir, Rozier, Yabusele,  2nd round pick
To Celtics: Gallo, Miller, Hernangomez

Only make trade 1 if we are SURE that we cannot sign a decent FA in offseason!!!  I don't like Gallo's contract.  I am also scared by his injury history.

On trade 2, there is no way that the Mavs include Mejri!!  He is averaging 4.2 rebounds in only 13.4 minutes and has a per near 15.00.  I know he is 30, but they would need him as Zeller would likely be their starting center, which is SCARY!!!

I don't think Mavs or Nuggets would be interested in those deals. For Mavs they are not getting anything to look foward to long term. And they give up good short term asset. It's and absolute heist. For Nuggets they don't need another PG prospect especially given the up coming draft has 8 good PGs. Can should get a better deal for Gali.

I don't mind talking trades that are a little outside the box. Its not way off or bad ideas to add those two guys so TP for your efforts.

But gallo has a player option. Unlikely he takes it. If he does, danny has another contract to work with for future trades. This new lineup would give the Celts a much better chance to beat Toronto and at least get into the 2nd round. Progression

Ainge got the better of Cuban in the Rondo deal which makes me believe Cuban is going to play hardball with Ainge if we want Bogut.

The Mavs will want at least one future first round pick.

I don't think Mavs will get a 1st from anyone for a 1 year rental player like Bogut. He is good but not that good

Mavs are likely though to take a chance on a player like Young. And another pick (2017 2nd round wolves pick) is not bad
