Even so, I think a team with Hayward as your 2nd/3rd best player isn't good enough to compete now. I think the Celtics need to play the long game by drafting young talented players, then keeping them (at a cost controlled low $ amount), or trade them for established stars. While Hayward is certainly a good player, he is not an established star in the league.
