Looking at us playing against the CAVs, I venture to say our whole team is over rated.  That being said we had a great year.   The lads usually played hard and well.   They just don't have the horses against a team like the CAVS with a playoff mindset.

Name me a team that won an NBA championship that did not have a marquee player in his position.

Detroit teams with Rip Hamilton had Tashean Prince.   Not a marquee player, that was easy.  But I agree with your sentiment.

Crowder is a bench player...a 3 and D bench guy.

If he can't deal with not starting, trade him.

Massive over reaction here to a blowout. Just massive.

He's been quite mediocre these entire playoffs.

I guess I'm in the minority.  I still like Crowder at a very cost-effective $7 mil per year bench player when we upgrade our roster.  We're not a finished product.

I didn't start this thread tonight. I started it many months ago. So in fact the opposite is true. Homers have overrated this dude for quite some time.

I'm not saying he's useless. I'm not saying he's horrible. I'm saying he's not nearly as good as most posters here suggest, and it makes literally zero sense for him to be playing as much as he does -- other that hoping he'll play out of his *** for trade value purposes.

He's a role player. Should be coming off the bench.

Agree he is overrated and agree is is not a great defensive player and agree he is not tough as he looks. He's have a hard time getting off Cleveland's bench much less a starter. Time for the crowd to start cheering for Hayward.

Really an overreaction? The 1 seed gets blown out at home both games losing the 2nd by 44? Just a couple bad games? But they can win in Cleveland right? Not an overreaction.

I still like Crowder a lot but I am disappointed in the drop-off in his defense this year.

His defense was near All-League defense last season. This year, it's just good.

He has a very good contract to play 25 minutes backing up Hayward (hopefully) as SF and also minutes as a stretch four. However, I do agree that he can't be a starter in a contending team.

O just don't know if his contract won't be up before we are true contenders developing Fultz, Brown and (hopefully again) Ayton or Bamba. In this case, use him as trade bait in two years.

I am also in the camp that Jae is nearly untradeable if we are going for 'it' since he saves us like tens of millions of dollars in luxury tax obligations over say Avery Bradley.

However, Jae's trade value is at its highest right now because he has three years left on his contract. When he is an expiring, he won't be nearly as desirable because he will be due a lot more money.

I realize this argument can be used for anybody (ie, IT/Bradley), but they are better players who teams will be happy to pay.

Love old Jae, but I must agree .... he hasn't looked the same and we might need to try others guys and look to upgrade in the off-season.

IT, hurt or not, was awful too.

Whole team was laying bricks, timid, and turning the ball over.

he is only overrated if you expect an all star type player

he was and still is a great role player on a great contract, not more not less
