Guess I'm surprised folks think The Kings are going to get more than a chip like Young for Casspi.
Totally forgot the Celtics have $1.1 million cap room. That's why it works. And that's why I'm not supposed to post while my plane is delayed on the tarmac.
But James Young is useless to the Kings. If he actually plays well while he's there, he could command a salary greater than what they are allowed to offer him in free agency, unless something changes with the CBA. If he doesn't play well, then that's not worth it either. Danged if he's good, danged if he isn't kind of thing.
I don't know that Cassipi would be the most expensive to acquire, although as he has a cheap contract, he's easy for most teams to make room for, so that could drive his price up a little bit. But he's worth more than James Young.
