Spoelstra is a weasel.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

It's early. This is just his 14th game. He started off slow one of his other seasons, too, iirc.

Does seem like he has too much movement on his free throw shot, though.

Not sure but it's a bad sign for those optimistic that Smart will one day shoot over 40 percent from the field.

IT -- 23 points on 23 shots  including 7 FTs.  very definition of a gunner.

Do the free throws help his true shooting percentage like they do for Harden?

I know he's up there is PER.

I just dislike 6-20...guys standing around...everytime he passes the ball to someone, he wants it back RIGHT away....

He thinks he is iverson or Kobe....    but he is shooting at 42 percent and 31 percent at the 3 pt line

Many mediocre nba players can avg 20 plus points if they had the green light to chuck up 20 shots and was allowed to shoot at those low fg percentages

I dislike "hot dog" basketball

Whats his true shooting percentage at? Isn't that what really matters

His movement bringing the ball up to shoot is too quick or something. I wish he'd take more time on his free throws.

I agree.  I'm not in love with him as a player nor as the face of the franchise.  should be used in a Vinnie Johnson role to score off the bench.  thing is, we need a legit starting quality pg to start in his place.  Smart and Rozier aren't ready to do that.

Is he putting some kind of sideways spin on those shots because a lot of them are spinning out.
