Once again... removing Al Horford and Jae Crowder and replacing them with Tyler Zeller and Jaylen Brown is an astronomical downgrade.  You're taking two of our best players and replacing them with guys 10x worse.   Don't worry about the early season struggles.  We'll be fine.

Someone please explain to me why Jaylen Brown, Demetrius Jackson, and Jordan Mickey aren't in the game right now?

This team has played poorly for multiple games now.  They need to get it together.  Throwing in the towel is not the answer.

Rewarding awful play just to save face isn't the answer either

Except it's not about saving face or rewarding awful play, it's figuring it out on the floor and taking something to the next game and beyond.  Who cares about Demetrious Jackson get out of here with that.

We shouldn't be figuring out in the 4th quarter of a blowout, we should be figuring it out in practice before the game

NBA teams don't even practice that much.  You need game time too.  This is a confidence and style of play issue.  They need this time even in this situation.

I don't think that leaving Avery Bradley in just to have Otto Porter make jumpshot after jumpshot over him is exactly improving his confidence

This is true but the Celtics really need a rebounder on their team. I really hope they call the Sixers about Noel.

Good D by Bradley on Wall.  Only to give up another offensive rebound and score to Porter.

There's absolutely a problem when your defensive anchor is a 6'4" perimeter player. Simple as that. Danny HAS to upgrade the big position. At least Sully and Amir held down somewhat of an interior defense last year, but without Horford and Crowder and with Amir's seemingly twenty years of aging we MUST upgrade.

And why are we even playing Green at this point?

When three of your top four minutes guys have the worst +/- on the team, your coaching sucks.  You are just blinding letting guys stink because of who they are supposed to be, not who they actually are.  I mean, you've given up over a hundred points five minutes into the fourth, are down by 20 and Amir, Bradley and IT are all -20.

This is not rocket science.  Play somebody else.

They are a big part, but it goes beyond them, too. The defensive intensity is just not there right now outside of Smart and occasionally from AB and KO.

And the rebounding is absolutely a major, major issue that must be addressed.

Ainge should be on the hot seat if we don't upgrade our other big position by the deadline.

Maybe we should dispose of James Young and bring back Shavlik Randolph.  For the 4th time!

You're right it's like last year with Lee and Zeller. Time to pull the starting front court.

Amir has had flashes but yeah otherwise he has been so bad this year and we've had to rely on him.  Zeller also has had offensive flashes but on the boards and defense he has been dreadful.

KO is so much better than Zeller on defense it is absolute night and day.  Amir too actually most times this year.

Smart has been the only good part of the game.  He may not start but he needs the ball more.

The problem is we don't actually some decent personnel to replace them. 3rd stringers were given chances, but couldn't step up with their production. Bench just flat out sucked and needed to be upgraded at some point.

Leaving our starters in to gain confidence at the end of a blowout game isn't going to get us out of the first round but if Isaiah Thomas breaks his leg with 3 minutes to go in a blowout then we aren't even making the first round
