The hornets have scored 40 points tonight in 9 minutes against the Pacers. I am not sure if I have seen a 50 point quarter before. As bad as our quarter was against Denver yesterday, this is even more insane...

Well that was disappointing. Only scored 3 points in the last 3 minutes. 77 points overall in the quarter. On pace for 172-136

This is the new trend. The NBA needs to allow hand checking again. They allowed it during the NBA finals and the games allowed the players to overcome physical play if they wanted to win. It allowed defenses to have a bigger impact at changing a game. Today's game the way it's spread out is too hard to D up against and no way to slow down cause you can't body anyone up.

Unfortunately I am pretty sure the NBA wants high scoring games and eye popping stats. The Mike Fratello Cleveland teams and late 90's knicks squads were probably considered a bit of an eye sore for the viewing public and that is why these changes have been made. Do high scoring games really make the NBA want to reverse the rules?
