but, so far our two losses have come on the second night of home/away back to backs.  I'm not really going to take the time to check out every other team's schedule but it seems a bit odd to me we have two home/away back to backs when there has been several days between games.  The scheduling should be done better but I know they do it just to have as many weekend games as they can.

The schedule really lightens up the rest of the month in regards to back to back games.

It was pretty weird to have so many days in between games, and then have a back to back

It's kind of stupid

Totally valid complaint. Starting off with a back to back to lead off the season was basically a load of bs. We wait the entire summer for games to start and then we play two nights in a row right off the bat. We would very likely be 4-1 without that disfavor.

Yeah, you're totally right that we got screwed there. We've also got screwed in the sense that we're always playing an away game on the second night of a back to back, and we have another one next weekend at home versus the Knicks and at Indiana, which is crap.

I don't disagree, but when the schedule came out, overall we had one of the most favorable in terms of back-to-backs/rest, opponents, and amount of travel.  ESPN said it added 3.3 wins to our projection, which was best in the league.

That is good to know. I guess it is good to get the 'bad' over with now so that we can soon reap the benefits through the remainder of the year. As it stands, the first Bulls game, the Cavs game, and the Indy game are all tailor-made Cs losses...which is obviously kind-of a bummer.

Anyone paying attention to anyone else's schedule?  Yeah, probably not.  So no sense in complaining about our schedule when you don't know how it compares to anyone else.

Awful presumptive, aren't we?  ::)

In another thread, Celticsclay and I were just talking about the relatively easy schedule that the Warriors have had thus far, including their next 4 games against teams with a combined record of 4-18. I've also discussed with several others on here about the issue of back-to-backs with us ending on away games, while also noting other teams not having as many (or any) yet. Furthermore, others have discussed several other teams' schedules, such as the Thunder and how their record is largely fools gold due to their competition thus far.

So maybe you shouldn't be assuming things that you have no idea about on this popular/big of a blog. We all know what assuming does...  ;)

The Warriors haven't had their second loss of the season last year until like 31 games later. And they just got their second loss to the lowly Lakers.

Ok, you got me.  I guess I can say I have not paid any attention to anyone else's schedule mostly because I don't care, especially at this point in the season.  So let me respond with my original thought.  It is not only too early to complain abut schedules, we shouldn't complain about it at all.

Everything until next year is 1 day resters, a couple 2-dayers, and some back to backs.

I think its good to have long breaks now given our injury problems. (3 days off multiple times)
