Well Klay is playing poorly obvious, so as the season goes along, he might be asking for a trade. One ball is not enough for those three (I'm not counting Green). You can see that their shooting numbers fell down from last season and thats because both of them, Curry and Klay, are volume scorers and they like to touch the ball more frequently, which is not happening now.
I think that's the plan for Danny, wait and see who wants out. It's more risky but the prize is way greater. As the season goes on, there will be teams who struggle and players wanting out, so when that happens, guess who will be there with few quality players and good picks

If I had to name TOP 8 star players surprisingly getting traded (yeah I know but let's have fun) this season it would be like this:
1. Anthony Davis (maybe not this season but he would be dumb to stay there)
2. Demarcus Cousins (probably)
3. Klay Thompson (to me it seems he's the odd man there)
4. Jimmy Butler (the honey moon's over, it's time they all start fighting each other)
5. Paul Millsap (the Hawks are going to play like Stan's Magic with DH and four point guards)
6. Serge Ibaka (he's not resigning with them)
7. John Wall (Beal got how much? lol plus they are average team at best and Brooks is not a good coach)
8. Derrick Favours (I don't know why but think the Jazz will try to trade him)
