Kevin Love is a significantly better player than Jae Crowder.  As such, there is no way Cleveland even considers this offer without significant other assets going to Cleveland in the trade (and even then they might not want to mess up their chemistry).  I'm almost embarrassed to be a Celtic fan when threads like this exist.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

With so many teams going small I'd say no to trading Crowder for Love.

It is not enticing to pay big money to both Horford and Love, but there is a considerable difference in terms of talent with Crowder. I would do it. But Love doesn't currently play for Brooklyn so no chance.

I think I would as well if we could do it in a way where it actually opens up flexibility to bring players in from overseas without giving up a core of isaiah, bradley, brown, love, horford plus smart off the bench. Plus flexibility going forward.  I don't think  Cleveland would though. I think  Love, Kyrie and Lebron is working well. Not sure why this thread embarasses Moranis.  It's an interesting idea imo.  I think Klove has been put on the backburner, but he is one player I feel the celtics were actually interested in for good reason.

There are always better options too, and it's not the end all be all, but  there is a case for it or against for that matter.

Curious myself because I was just watching the cleveland and Boston game and came to mind and wasn't sure if I would or not.

I actually thought Love was pretty entertaining to watch that game too and how he and his teammates were interacting.  They looked good.

Love didn't have his best shooting night but came up and hit some pretty big shots on the break on the move.  I was impressed with that and how he was commanding other players as well.

Love gets a lot of flack for some of his antics himself but he does things that are impressive as well.  He's a great player.

Just saying, I leave in Cleveland and some of my Cavs friends brought up this trade idea.
although it could have been when Love was somewhat the odd man out, i think that has changed.

Yeah it's been a rumor that comes and goes for a long time.  We should have done it when we could have haha. I don't even know if we ever could have though.  I think Cleveland was trying to make that work and win a title and now it's working. It's hard to speculate on that stuff because we don't really know.

I think we were after KLove.  That's what was being reported and you have to read between the lines but I think we were.  That's one legit one.

Certainly not a trade idea that leads to the level of embarrassment... I've also heard Cleveland fans propose all starts of deals over the last two years (moreso before the title). Would we have to throw in something? Sure. But the only thing embarrassing about the thread is that comment.

Edit: to be clear agreeing with apc that moranis comment is over the top

People like to think other people are stupid?  I'm a pretty smart dude.  I don't know what to tell you there.  People can assume. I'd rather be underrated than overrated. I don't know how he expects me to respond to that.  I'll take the high road this time.

It's like are you calling me stupid? haha. normally I would just assume that because that's basically what it is usually people assuming stuff they don't even know.

Maybe there is another reason he is embarassed.  I'm curious what that is though.  I am just saying too. I actually am curious.
