And a conditional pick. Kinda surprising, I'd figure Grant showed enough for Philly to want to keep him. Depends on the pick I guess.

EDIT: Looks like a protected 1st. Makes much more sense for Philly. Who knows what they do with Ilyasova but they could use a stretch big.

What happened to Ilasova? Injuries? 3-4 years ago he was averaging 13-7 and was shooting 44% from 3 point land. Now I don't even see how he plays on the 76ers with embiid, okfaor, saric, holmes and eventually Noel and Simmons vying for front court minutes.

Utah has OKC's 2018 pick (lottery protected through 2020) so the earliest it could be was a 2020 protected 1st.   Woj's latest tweet calls it a "fake 1st" because of the protections.  Probably ends up rolling over to one or two future 2nds.

Aren't Roberson and Grant redundant?

Actually, didn't OKC fail to get an extension done with Roberson?

Is this a power play? Insurance policy if Roberson leaves?

Grant shows more consistency in his jumpshot than Roberson does.

OKC gets themselves an $8.4 million trade exception and someone to compete with Roberson.

If Danny can't swing a megadeal, Zeller would fit nicely into OKC's exception, and give them a non-guaranteed contract to trade over the summer.  It would be boring for both parties, but it's not impossible the Celtics wind up with something small from OKC as a result of their trade today.

Not sure if they can hit a shot, but Westbrook - Oladipo - Roberson - Grant - Adams would have to be the most athletic lineup in the league.

Not when their next best wings after Roberson are Anthony Morrow and Kyle Singler.

Gets Philly some much needed shooting if Illyasova is healthy.

Nice hinkie-esque move to sell high on on a guy taken in the 2nd round and receive a first (top 20 protected) or two 2nds.  A healthy Ilysova also gives Philly some necessary shooting.

Ilya will get some playing time with Embiid and Okafor on minutes restrictions and Simmons and Noel out injured.  I don't see him resigning with the Sixers.  Chances are the Sixers only end up with a couple future 2nds which they already have plenty of.

Grant is a good defender and athlete who has 1M unguaranteed salary next year.  He should fit in nicely with OKC.  OKC is now 7M under the cap which makes it easier to make an additional acquisition this year.

He did play for them tonight. Is he essentially an older saric?

Roberson is a much better defender. I guess he's just an insurance in case Andre doesn't resign with them.
