Minnesota has an imbalance on its roster of big men. They have also been rumored to be shopping Rubio. They are also in need of shooting with KAT and LaVine their only weapons.

KAT
Dieng
Aldrich
Payne
Hill
Bjelica
Pekovic

Would you ok this trade:

Avery Bradley + Amir Johnson + Jonas Jerebko

for

Ricky Rubio + Nikola Pekovic

Why does Boston do it?

We gain a PG with height to compliment IT. We get a big man with rebounding and post-up skills to compliment Horford.

Why does Minnesota do it?

They gain a big man on an expiring contract (AJ), a defensive specialist and outside shooter in Bradley and another outside shooter in JJ who is on an expiring deal which could be packaged with AJ for a larger trade return come deadline.

I've long wondered if Rubio was a diamond in the rough waiting to find the right team ... too long. I'm beginning to think that his shooting is just so bad that it his brilliance in defense and passing are overshadowed.

I don't want Pekovic.

I definitely don't want to trade Bradley for that.

Oh they have Andrew Wiggins (sarcasm)...

If you look at the way that team is built, beyond Wiggins and LaVine, they sorely lack perimeter offense.

Avery Bradley is better than Ricky Rubio and Nikola Pekovic's feet no longer function correctly, which is a problem for a professional basketball player.  See:http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/17641735/nikola-pekovic-minnesota-timberwolves-miss-2016-17-season

I'd want Dieng if we're giving up Bradley.

The OP is drinking cough syrup.

Seriously, some people must not understand the game of basketball at all. Pekovic is done. Rubio is hurt again. Bradley is far better than either one of those two guys and he offers the perfect compliment to IT's game. He can play lockdown defense on the best guard and his 3 point shooting opens lanes for IT. Rubio cant'd do that and thus he can't play with IT. Put them out there together and teams just sag off Rubio to block the lane for IT. The offense stalls.

So what's Rubio going to do for this team? Run the 2nd unit for 15-20 minutes a game? Wheeeee...
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

With these trade proposals, I always consider who is the best player in the deal and where he is going.  It's not the only thing to consider, but often it's how trades are remembered.  In this case, Avery Bradley is the best player in the deal.  No thanks.
