those guys have such elevation ,why are they not using this to rebound
mickey should take advantage and be used in small ball  to rebound he has strong vertical to go with his length
jaylen had one rebound

Elevation has very little to do with rebounding.

Yes, listen to Tommy Heinsohn.  It's all about taking your position and putting a body on someone.

You have to know where the ball is going and then make up your mind to go get it.  Green has never had a clue or the desire to rebound.  Rozier has both.

This is true to some extent, but being athletic helps on get the ball.   A guy who can jump higher as an edge.  Boxing out and attitude are just as important.

But only guys who can't jump  or short guys say stuff like elevation does not matter.   Of course, it can factor into rebounding, height is elevation and a lot of tall guys can rebound better than shorter ones is the mindset is equal.  Being able to jump high is not the end all but it helps.  Speed helps get you to the ball.  Timing and good hands, knowing shot trajectories helps and tendencies of shooters helps a ton too.   Will to rebound is very important and came overcome physical deficits.

I agree it's surprising Brown hasn't been a better rebounder.  Hopefully it's one of the things he's working on.  Green is who he is at this point.

Its about positioning and effort. Ask Sully.
