Superstar, 23 years-old, 5 years of control. I'm not even Davis' biggest fan, but you give NOP whatever they want. Brown, 2017 Brooklyn, 2018 Brooklyn, 2019 Memphis, and anything else.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Said it before, "IT, Crowder, JJ and AJ for AD and Holiday".

Starters= Smart, AB, Green, AD, Hordeford
Bench=Rozier, Holiday, Brown, KO, Zeller
Reserves=DJ, Young, Mickey

Holiday, KO and Zeller are off the books so use that $ to sign Hayward.
2017 starters= Smart, AB, Hayward, AD, Hordeford.
Bench TBD but three would be locks in Rozier, Brown, Zizic.

I don't think there's anyway that your trade gets it done. Our top assets are the Brooklyn picks, then our young players. You didn't include either.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

We are talking about 2 top 10 players at their positions in IT and Crowder. Also they are on super bargain contracts. Then also cap relief. No way I add in more unless it's like a Grizz or Clipper 1st.

And we're talking about a potential MVP candidate. IT and Crowder don't even approach being enough. Throw in both Nets' picks and Brown and you might be able to get the conversation started. You're severely underestimating AD's value
I'm bitter.

Hypothetically it would take the entire team and all our draft picks.  Superstars are irreplaceable.  That's why you have to either lure them in free agency or tank.

Then I would not do it. It's a team game one guy clearly isn't enough to win, you don't give up a team for one guy. Who knows what else the Nets picks can yield or what Brown can develop into. AD isn't LeBron, Leonard or Curry so though a candidate he isn't an MVP. Also plenty of big guys have out played him head to head he doesn't dominant 70+ games a year. He has like 7 monster games a year and he misses another 10+ games a year. Given that he is in Melo trade level when Knicks got him / KG level when C's got him.

No Way- he's way more valuable than that. He's on a crap team and everyone knows it. You don't think he's capable of being as good or better than Kawhi? He alone would make our team that much better.

I think we have different views on Davis- I think he's [dang] good and a unique player in the NBA.

I gave you my reasons for his value they are valid. He is [dang] good part-time player.

I'll play along with this dream. Any trade which yields you Anthony Davis is going to be VERY painful (even though I see him as completely untradeable). Something like below:

Marcus Smart + Avery Bradley + Jae Crowder + Amir Johnson + Both Brooklyn Picks*

for

Anthony Davis + Tyreke Evans

*Might even have to include Terry Rozier in this package.

Our new team:

Isaiah Thomas
Terry Rozier
Tyreke Evans
Al Horford
Anthony Davis

Bench: Jaylen Brown, Kelly Olynyk, Jordan Mickey, James Young, Tyler Zeller, Demetrius Jackson, Jonas Jerebko, Gerald Green

I like the team as currently constituted. Giving up THAT much to get AD would create so many other voids on our roster. We would lose our defensive identity in the snap of a fingers by losing Smart/Bradley/Crowder which are the trade assets outside of the Brooklyn picks.

What a dream.  NBA trade machine had us +22 Games.   That might be enough to Challenge the the Bulls/Warriors 73 wins.  LOL...

Would the rights to swap first round picks for th next 10 years be worth.  Plus give them the Nets pick next year.  KO, JJ, Amir, Young.  LOL....

Okay, I'll play. If they were ever to trade him, it's full rebuilding for them. Given how he has started this season, I'm starting with both Nets picks. Than I'm adding KO, Smart and Crowder. That's a pretty good start.

I'd go Smart (or AB or IT or Rozier, whichever they want), Brown, one Nets pick, and one other future first.  That's 4 quality young assets.  Throw in Amir or JJ or Zeller if you need to match salaries.

2017 1st round pick (Brooklyn)
2018 1st round pick (Brooklyn)
2019 1st round pick (Memphis, Los Angeles, or Boston)
Jaylen Brown
Terry Rozier
Jonas Jerebko
Tyler Zeller

Leaves us with:

Thomas / Smart
Bradley
Crowder / Green
Davis / Johnson
Horford / Olynyk

IF they were going to trade Davis, this gives them at least two shots in the high lottery with the BK picks, plus they will inevitably be terrible right away, so two more of their own in the next two seasons. Plus, I would assume Memphis could struggle in a couple years so there's another in three years. You get Jaylen Brown to build around, plus Terry Rozier who figures to be a very solid player. I don't know that they'd get a better offer.
