Play Mickey

I have read that Mickey may actually be quite tall. Anyway we can verify this?

Mickey is 6'8 with a 7'3-7'4 wingspan , 8'11 reach and 37 inch max vert

He has beefed up also and is prob around 245-250 now

Mickey deserves a shot...  Jerebko is just bad these days...

I'd like to see them give Mickey some run, too, and I agree on Jerebko. I was glad to see that 3 fall for him last night. Problem is that Stevens trusts Jerebko and not Mickey, at least not yet.

I like Jonas, BUT, 2/11 on FGAs and 1/6 on 3s in the first two games is a REALLY bad start. He looked awful shooting. Maybe he needs his arse sat down and let Mickey play in front of him to motivate him.

I remember that he had problems shooting early on last year. Hopefully he snaps out of it soon.

Jerebko is nothing more than an energy player that can make the open 3. Thats it. He is never going to grab 7 rebounds per game (even if he started) or block many shots etc

Stevens does trust him more currently but soon he will have to resort to using a better talent instead (like mickey , brown)

 Actually only 6'7" no shoes 7'3.25" wingspan and a 37.5" vertical.

 Most importantly though is he leaves the ground very quickly.

IT is like 5'1 without shoes... the pt is players do not play ball barefoot

Jonas started slow last year shooting wise and improved as the year went on.

I don't think playing Mickey is a good solution to our size or rebounding issues

I don't know why we keep playing Zeller over Mickey other than try and show case him.

I thought Mickey looked good in spot minutes last night. I would rather see him in the game than Zeller.

Celts got a nice win in Charlotte--thanks largely to Bradley's big game. I noticed Zeller played fewer minutes and Mickey played more. Mickey may not be the answer to their rebounding problems, but Zeller isn't either. Don't think Ainge hasn't noticed. He realizes Horford hasn't solved all his problems up front. And I doubt Olynyk will make much of a difference.

He's got those two kids, Zizic and the French guy, who could help in the rebounding. I think it's time Danny started bartering all those assets he has for a guy who can bang the boards.

Mickey might not solve the problems, but he's quite better than Zeller at rebounding and substantially better defending. Of course, he doesn't have the real NBA playing time to show for it and see if he can execute it, but evidence so far suggests it to be true.

Our rebounding problem is symptomatic of another problem.  We haven't been very good on defense at the point-of-attack.  We're chasing the ball too much.  When you do that, rebounding suffers.  Late rotations give up offensive boards.  If you watch our best D possessions in the preseason, Smart, Bradley and Crowder are stuffing the opposition and the pressure starts near half court.  Opponents were taking bad shots late in the clock and it was all green jerseys in the paint.  We've been a step behind on D for the first 2 games.  Will be great to get a healthy Smart back.
