Jaylen cost us this game, but the very fact that he was closing the 2nd game of his career indicates that he's going to win us many, many games throughout his career. He's worth being excited about. He could be a franchise-altering player.

He didn't lose the game, he just didn't have the clutch gene in his 2nd NBA game ever. If he would have hit we would be calling him a basketball God and crowning him the next Jordan.

Missing the shot would've been fine. What he did was pretty awful.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

We simply HAVE to run more offense through Horford. It's worked virtually every time that we've ran the ball through him. Otherwise, it's just us relying on IT's penetration or settling for jumpers.
Since they can't run it through Turner anymore at the end of games they're going to have to figure out something.  IT can be defensed as has been proven.

Could maybe Feb , before we know exactly what we got .  Smart and KO need to be up to speed in the rotations .  By then Brown and Rozier can play better too.

Agreed re: Horford.  Rozier has a long way to go, not looking any more like a PG yet.

I'll give Brown a break, Stevens obviously threw him into the fire which will only help him grow. With that said, that was a dumb mistake by Brown, I really thought he was gonna shoot it

with that said, rebounding and silly turnovers cost us the game, mostly rebounding especially on the offensive board. We need better interior defense. And that is a HUGE understatement.

Robin and Taj killing us inside with either the easy bunnies or offensive boards. Those killed us more than anything in my opinion

I hope to see a revenge next Wednesday cuz I'll be there ;)

We'll blow them out in Boston. Off a three day rest and after this contentious game, I think we'll have something to prove. We'll have Smart back by then, too.

The crappy thing is we then play in Cleveland the next night.

wait isn't Smart out another week the least?

And Smart will help when he gets back. His best traits on offense are his passing and getting others involved, which were sorely lacking at times tonight.

Great game. The sky is not falling. Two important rotations guys were injured. 2nd night of a back-to-back and with travel. Wade played like Ray Allen. Refs had some interesting calls.

And yet, we still played well. Brown looked good, and he looked like a rookie that was questioning his place on that last play. Rozier played alright. Thomas, Bradley, and Crowder all played really well going head-to-head with Rondo, Wade, and Butler.

We have some weaknesses, but this team is really good.

Another solid and encouraging game from Jaylen.  Still love what I see out of Bradley and crowder.  We are a really good team.

Crowder is officially the best contract in the NBA, is he sniffing around an all-star spot or am I tripping?

He'll be in the discussion for the bench spots. It's insane that he only shot 6 times tonight; he has to be more involved. Let's cut down on Zeller's usage and give AB some more rest (40 minutes played).

Through 2 games, I think Bradley has a real shot to be an all-star. If he can continue to rebound and facilitate like this, he's going to be in the discussion.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

No doubt. Its unfortunate the first play for him called all game fell in the final minute of regulation. I hope the team all learned lessons tonight. That includes Brad and Danny.

The negatives of the last 2 games are all due to Smart's absence.   Guaranteed to be undefeated in any game Smart plays.

Move to consider: AB to the bench while Smart's out. We need his creation on the 2nd unit badly, and Terry can provide enough shooting for the starters.
