I mean...am I missing something here?  A player of that caliber can force a trade despite what the brass says, right?  I mean...it's really sad to see such a great talent just wasting away in the worst managed team in the nba.  Rudy Gay apparently told Karl when he was hired, "Welcome to basketball hell."

I think he's been as vocal about his displeasure as a player who has an obligation to a team can. If it were any other organization they would have traded him already... but the Kings is a different story.

He already has a reputation of being difficult anything that enhances this perception hurts his value

He has it there like LeBron had it his first run with Cavs. Ownership fully supports him. Also not a bad place to live. So his personal life is good there despite his professional woes.

Cousins was recently talking about how much he likes Sacramento.  They have a new coach so he's probably going to give them one more chance.  Smart move on his part.  No reason for him to stink about it and look like a malcontent.

Heard a lot of basketball heads recently say this should finally be the year he's traded. They have no realistic chance at the playoffs, and a horrible 15-20 game start might be enough for him to finally make that trade demand. Combine that with the fact that the Brooklyn pick looks to be magnificent this year, and you have a recipe for a Boogie to Boston trade.

Maybe his frustrations with the Kings aren't as bad as we think it is...like someone mentioned already, they're happy to bring in a coach who can try to work with him. Plus, he seems to enjoy living there.

I'm hopeful we can sign Blake Griffin (assuming he opts out of his contract and decides to enter Free Agency in 2017). If not him, then at the very least, we might have the #1 draft pick with the Lottery.

If Cousins does go on the market, it will be interesting to see who our competition is.  Got to think the Lakers will be in it but mostly I'd think it would be contenders.  I don't know if the Cavs would offer Irving for Cousins but I would.

Don't think the Lakers would give up Russell and either Randle or Ingram for Cousins, considering Walton is still a young rookie head coach. Got to believe we're the best place for him, plus Cousins probably has some say in where he gets traded, or at least some slack considering how long he has preserved to stay in Kings, and not demand a trade.

By the way, if the Cavs offer Irving for Cousins, I hope the GM gets fired.

Lebron was the main reason they won, but Irving was also the 2nd best thing the Cavs needed, plus his dagger 3 point shot in game 7 was the final touch necessary to knock them down.

they'd have to give up Russell, Ingram, and one or two of Randle/Clarkson/Nance to even get a discussion imo.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Same division, so less likely to go to Lakers.

He's loyal to a fault. Think KG in Minnesota, with much worse management.

Yea, I had thought about that.  Thing is...the time to stink it up will never be right.  His loyalty to the team cannot be questioned (just like KG situation).  Cousins has given them years and has given them every chance possible and they blow it every time.  Sacramento may be a good residential preference but if you are have such passion for the game which his love and passion for basketball has been well documented, your working environment should rate very high as well.  So far he has been miserable, or so they say, and I don't get why he insist on making it work when it hasn't worked all these years.

Or he is young and has enjoyed being a big fish in a small pond.  Not uncommon for guys to change their behavior as they mature and winning becomes priority.

I don't think the guy is passionate about winning.

hmmm...that's another possibility.  Definitely something to consider.
